Fog and pollution surrounds Sophia, Sage, and Ricky. Sophia holds Ricky close and tears form in her eyes.

"Sage you have to do it. One last time. Please. You have to do it to save Ricky."

"I'm sorry Soph, I can't. We've lost."

"No the fuck we haven't! You just need to heal him. And then you can go do whatever the shit you want. Please."

"I'm sorry. I have to do this" Sage starts walking away and doesn't look back.

"No. NO! SAGE DON'T FUCKING LEAVE US HERE. YOU FUCKING BITCH."

Sage wakes up with the same routine everyday. She wakes up, gets dressed, eats breakfast, brushes her teeth, and walks to school. But no one knows her biggest secret. Or do they?

"Sage!" The teacher yells.

"Oh uh, yes miss?"

"Can you answer the question?"

"Uh, 6?"
The class laughs, but the teachers face stays straight.
"Sage, I love your attempts at being funny, but this is English class. Not math. Please pay attention next time." The teacher carries on with her lesson.

Finally, the bell rings. Everyone walks out except Sage.

"Sage I need to talk to you." The teacher says.

"Oh uh, okay. What's wrong?" Sage responds.

"You've been sleeping in class a lot. Is something wrong at home?"

"Uh." Sage thinks about what happened last night. There was an attack on the rooftop of a café, and she didn't sleep well. But being a vigilante, you have to expect not getting much sleep, right?

"Sage?"
She snaps back to reality.
"Oh yeah, sorry. I just haven't been able to sleep a lot anymore, studying and stuff aha."

"I get it. Just try to stay awake in class, okay?"

"Yes ma'am." Sage grabs her bags and walks out of the classroom.

"What was that about?" Sophia asks.

"Nothing. Let's go to class" Sage says and laughs awkwardly. Little did Sage know, Sophia knew a dark secret of hers. But she wouldn't use it against Sage, right? They're best friends, she would never! Or would she?
