In a rainbow field filled with lush and fertility, my weakened self continued to search. The mush ground sank my feet every step of the way.
A girl next to me spoke something I couldn't comprehend. I didn't respond.
The scenery changed into that of a barren place. Colorful blurs blanketing everything that can be seen
Me and the other girl stepped inside without much effort.
A single black dot appeared then disappeared. Small enough anyone could miss it, weird enough everyone would notice it.
"Talia! Alexia! Help, please..." the dot spoke to her and the girl.
"I don't know... I haven't reported this to Stadtmen yet." The girl ignored the dot's cries and spoke to her
"Just, put him to sleep first..." I said.

Talia slowly opened her eyes. A blinding light scorched Talia's eyes followed by stabbing sensation. so Talia closed back her eyes, wanting to go back to sleep before her memory of the previous events rushed back into her mind. She'd lost her hand, a dreadful presence came from the village, and she ran as far as she could while holding Alexia, and that monster.
"AHHHHH!" shouted Talia as she shot up from her sleep.
"Talia?!" Alexia's words pierced her head, ringing and echoing.
Talia tried to open her eyelids only to be hit by a striking headache, making her close it back. She tried pushing her hands against her head to alleviate some of the pain. Instead, that served as a painful reminded of her right hand's uselessness
"Alexi—"
Talia's words got cut short by Alexia tightly hugging her. The force from Alexia's hands felt strong as always. So strong in fact, Talia couldn't move one bit.
Huh, this feels kind of nice... Wait, too tight.
"Alexia. Um, please loosen up a little bit. I can't breathe." Talia chocked out her words.
"Sorry..." Alexia pulled back. The bed puffed a little as she sat beside Talia. "I thought you wouldn't wake up."
"It's okay. How long did I sleep for?"
"4 days. I'll go tell your mother that you're awake."
"Where are we? You didn't get a new bed did you."
"We're in Julius' house. Although right now, he's out with his father investigating the disaster."
"What happened to everyone after that monster appeared?"
"I don't know... They're missing," Alexia said mutely.
"What?" Still with her eyes closed, Talia snapped her closed gaze onto Alexia. "Where is my father?"
"I..."
"Is he alive?!"
"I-I don't know."
"And Joseph? He was with father, is he gone too?!"
"...Sorry."
Alexia's ignorance placed dread back into Talia. "I'm going to the village." Talia moved from the bed and placed her feet on the ground, preparing to leave.
Beside Talia, Alexia silently watched with a dejected expression.
Despite Talia's proclamation, the nauseating headache came back the moment she opened her eyes followed by her collapsing back onto the bed. "Shit, what's with these eyes!"
