Y/N is autistic. How will his partner Captain help him with coping with it.
~•~Alison had called us all into the living room. "I have reason to believe Y/N is autistic. Now, I'm not a doctor, but the symptoms are clear."
I froze, unsure of what to say. I feel Captain's hand on my shoulder, attempting to be comforting. At the sudden contact, I flinch. "It's alright mon lapin we will do everything we can for you and make it easier for you."

That was 3 months ago. But since it is Bonfire night, Alison said we should celebrate with fireworks. I have been preparing myself all day, waiting for the dreadful sound of the obnoxious banging to commence. Captain has been the only one that's stuck by me.
"Darling, Alison said she is setting of the fireworks soon, would you like to come with me to your room?" Without any words I set off, determined not hear the horrific sounds.
'Halfway there,' I think to myself...
I can see my room now...
So close...
-WHOOSH-
-BANG- -BANG-
-WHOOSH- -BANG--BANG-
The sudden noises makes me fall to the floor. My hands quickly cover my ears as I rock back and forth. It's not enough to protect me. My mouth finds my wrist and I start biting it. It's the only relief I have from the noise.
Captain falls to my side and embraces me. His hands envelop my ears, protecting them even more. My head falls into his shoulders as he starts rocking back and forth, consoling me. I can hear Captain's voice, but his words don't register. We sit there, in silence, waiting out the fireworks.
He lets go of my ears as the fireworks have stopped now. Captain carefully placed his hands on my cheeks, forcing me to look at him, "Okay mon lapin, your safe. I won't leave your side until you feel better." I quickly nod my head, unable to form words. "I want you to copy me, okay? Take a deep breath... and hold it," You do as Captain says, "Now, let it go, slowly." We proceed to do that until my breathing has slowed. "Well done! You did amazing."
He sees how tired I am and scoops me up in his arms. I'm too tired to care. He delicately places me on our bed and I curl up in a ball. As it is getting close to 10pm, Captain decides to join. He uses his bigger body to swamp me into a cuddle, not that I'm complaining. Him just being there gives more comfort than anything else.
You ponder what you did to deserve a man as good as Captain James Finegan. He makes the life of a ghost worth it.
