Alora
"Wear something white and pretty."
Those words have been flooding my brain ever since Harry said them in front of all of our friends last night. Why white specifically? What does he have planned for us? I didn't have anything white to wear so naturally that called for a mall trip. I dragged Bella with me since she is the reason it's such last minute and that's where we are now. We're at the third store and we haven't even come close to finding something. We've been here since the mall opened at 8 and it's now almost noon, the clock is ticking. I flip through the clothing racks, still not finding anything.
I drag my hands down my face and groan in frustration, "We're not going to find anything, Bella! It's getting late and I still have to go home to get ready." I tell her. She's on the other side of the rack and we're looking at each other through the clothes.
She walks around to my side, grabs my face, and tells me to calm down. "Babes, it's going to be ok. We'll find something. Don't stress, I'm convinced that Harry will find you gorgeous in a freaking potato sack." She jokes, trying to lighten the mood. We give up at this store and make our way through the busy mall.
"We don't have much time Bells. We've been to how many stores and nothing? It's impossible to find something white and pretty." I say, mocking Harry's words. "Like he couldn't have been any more specific?" I sigh.
"Let's just go home. I'll text Harry and tell him that we should resched-" Right as I'm about to give up I see the most beautiful dress in a shop window. It's the purest white with lace and ruffled straps for the sleeves. It's got this raised, polka dot design covering the entire thing and I fall in love immediately.
"Alora? What happened? Are you oka-" I don't let her finish her sentence before I pull her into the store to look for that dress. I look all over the store but neither of us can find it.
"How do you have a dress on display but not on any of the racks!" I exclaim, gesturing to the entire store we just searched from top to bottom.
"Hey, don't lose hope just yet. Maybe they have some in the back. Let me go ask a store clerk." Bella squeezes my arm to reassure me that everything is going to be ok and walks off to find someone to help us.
She comes back with a beautiful woman that looks about our age. "So, bad news, they don't have any in the back. But the good news is that I told the lovely Maria about your dilemma and she said that if the dress that's on the mannequin is in your size she'll sell it to you.
As great as that sounds, I don't get my hopes up because that dress being in my size is a one-in-a-million chance. Nevertheless, I walk up to the dress and take a peek at the tag. My eyes widen in shock when I see my size. I turn back to Bella and Maria with the biggest smile on my face. I don't need to say anything before Maria walks up to me and takes the dress off of the mannequin.
