Chapter 1: The Teyvat DM Tournament

After an eventful day yesterday of teaching the traveler how to play duel monsters, cheery Amber would wake up in her bedroom surrounded by the plushies she collects.

She would get out of bed slowly like a slug then with gathering all of her willpower she willed herself awake, and stood up.

After letting out a long yawn and stretching out her limbs she sat down to comb her hair, and look at her deck of cards. Last time traveler was merely a beginner, a baby chick so she couldn't bring herself to play against her.

But next time when the traveler got stronger she would challenge her to a duel, that being said the traveler would be gone for weeks so it was best everyone in Monsdadt didn't think of them as someone at hand.

After getting dressed up Amber practically running out of her home head out to enjoy her day off, she was already a master glider and while she was good at duel monsters regularly she was specially good at Gliding Duels.

As she moved across the town she began to notice that there seemed to be a lack of people on the streets, she knew there wasn't any sort of dangerous situation going on so where was everyone?

Her question was quickly answered as she could see a giant crowd of people gathering around what seemed to be...a giant face?!

There was a floating giant face in the middle of town, or rather there was someone there wearing a mask and looking around. Amber quickly approached the location to investigate the situation.

"Hello? Can you all hear me?"

The masked floating head said while looking around, then after looking to the right and nodding it coughed to clear it's throat.

"Greetings! People of Teyvat my name is Xerxes and I am the founder of the duel monsters card game~!"

Amber would listen in to the talking mask as she got closer, similar faces were in the crowd all of them looking up a bit surprised at what Xerxes was saying.

"And as said founder I am quite glad you all have so quickly fallen in love with my game~ but it has come to my attention that there is many of you thinking the same thing~ Fufufu"

Xerxes chuckled while talking to himself, even though he wore a mask it would seem as if he was grinning about something to people with the right instincts.

"Who is the Strongest Duelist in all of Teyvat?! Fufufu well how about we find out eh? I will be setting up five tournaments around the world."

The face morphed from a face into what seemed to be a map of Teyvat with five out of seven nations highlighted.

"These nations will be Monsdadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, aaaand Fontaine~ each nation shall host a tournament and the top finalists of each tournament will be moved on to the final bracket~~"

Once again the image had morphed into what seemed to be a duel between two stick men with the winning one then moving up a bracket in a tournament list.

"But how do you qualify for the national tournaments? Fufufu~~ your duel disks have been granted a new feature called "Duel Points" this statistic will either increase or decrease depending on wether you win a duel or not."

As she listened in Amber moved through the crowd, and managed to meet up with Bennet, and Razor waving at them when she closed down the distance to greet them, and they doing the same.

"To qualify for the nationals....fufufu~~ you will need a legal deck of a minimum of forty main cards, and a total duel point count of Four Thousand!"
