It was a mild weather morning where Lumine had just arrived at Monsdadt for a certain lead she might've gained on her brother's whereabouts.
She had just helped save Fontaine from its prophecy a couple weeks ago and was feeling better than ever after spending quality time with friends in the lantern rite festivities in Liyue.
But she couldn't forget the reason she's exploring the world with her somewhat annoying but endearing pal Paimon, and just recently some abyss mages were spotted near Monsdadt which might lead towards her goals.
Just then as she was entering the city she began to hear what sounded like a crowd of people cheering, curious as to what it could be she headed towards the direction of the cheering but it wasn't soon until she discovered what the commotion was about.
In an instant she would see her friends Venti the bard, and Amber the Outrider gliding past the sky above her with what seemed to be a flying knight and a dragon following next to them.
She watched in awe confused as to what they were doing, or what those beings following them were so utilizing her newly gained speed she tries to keep track of them running across town.
Just then she caught sight of Amber commanding her Knight of sort to attack Venti's Dragon and sure enough it flew towards the dragon and sliced it in half, blowing Venti away in his glider but he regained his balanced mid air.
As she ran towards where they were descending there was a crowd composed of both adults and children cheering on as Amber triumphantly landed on what seemed to be a finish line, Venti following closely behind her.
Lumine took notice that the flying knight that bad been next to Amber a second ago had turned into light particles, and disappeared. As well that the two of them had some sort of contraption attached to their arms.
"That was a great duel!"
Amber spoke to Venti offering her hand in a handshake of good sportsmanship, and while Venti seemed like he wasn't going to accept it at first he grinned and shook her hand.
"I can say the same, that was a good display of skill."
Venti said praising Amber for her victory it seemed, The two then took notice of Lumine, and Paimon who had followed closely behind her and approached them enthusiastically.
"Ah traveler you're back to Monsdadt!"
Amber said quite cheery to see her friend again, Venti nodded to it.
"Seems like once again the wind has guided you here to the land of freedom, right traveler?"
Venti said while he shuffled what seemed to be a deck of cards in his hand then putting them away in a box, the machine that was attached to his arm had contracted to a much smaller one. And with a closer look it seemed to be a mixture between technology from Sumeru and Fontaine.
"That's right, we think there might be some clues about her brother here... Oh and just curious but what was all that about?!"
Lumine sighed as Paimon would frantically float around like a bug as she pointed towards Amber's arm, and demanded to know about the occurrence which recently happened.
"There was a giant dragon, and a flying knight of some sort following right behind you guys! And they went wooosh! Then the guy next to Amber went bam! bam! And-"
Paimon continued her rambling as Venti, and Amber only laughed at her outrage. Then after nodding at each other Amber approached the traveler and showed to her some cards.
"You guys haven't heard of duel monsters yet? That's shocking everyone is playing it all around Teyvat since invocation TCG got discontinued."
As Lumine looked at the cards Amber showed her, she took notice of what she said about the name of the game they were playing earlier, and how they seemed to have had manifested creatures to fight by their side earlier.
