It's hard for me to announce this but I'm taking a break from writing in March and I'm not sure when I'm coming back. I'll still be writing but I need a bit of a break so I won't be writing as much as normal. My mental health is not good and I really less pressure for a bit
I put a lot of pressure on myself to post consistently but as a some of you know, I'm not just a writer. I'm an artist and I've done writing as a hobby since 2013. I started writing again during a gap year and it's almost time for me to go back to school.
When I started writing again, I thought I'd be posting for a few people, just to let off steam mostly. I never expected the support I've received from you guys. I love sharing my work, art or writing. I love connecting with you guys and sharing my interests. Something I failed to consider, however, was how much of a toll maintaining not just my fanfic and this account but also my art account and art would have on me. It's hard for me to delegate my time and I recently found out that I have ADHD, which makes sense but also explains my lack of time management, which is what's taking such a huge toll on me.
This is a very new thing to me. I've always suspected it and even received treatment as a child but when it worked too well, my parents decided to take me out of treatment AMA. As I've gotten older, it's been increasingly hard for me to deal with the ADHD by myself. I'm time blind, never sleep and it's the reason I'm no longer in school despite having a semester left before I complete my degree. I'm angry, I'm exhausted but most of all, I need a break.
I don't want this to turn into a huge thing so I'll keep it short. I'm seeking treatment again and that is what this break is for. Hopefully, I can finally be medicated for something that, for me, has made daily life extremely difficult. I will be back and hopefully soon.
I will keep everyone as updated as I can my Twitter (X). I will be posting author's notes everywhere Blood Oath is posted, just to be sure everyone knows however, I will not be updating on my progress there. Only on Twitter. I really hope you all understand and I hope to see you all again, as healthy as I can be.
