The school was lit up with Halloween decorations at midnight, and it looked just like years before. I walked around, basking in the glory that is Beacon. Usually I watch over my team, but today, I felt the urge to take a walk, and I'm glad I did. I saw a small glowing ball in the yard of Beacon, and I decided to go poke it. I can't really touch anything, but I decided, "Why not?"
"Jaune?" someone behind me asked. I turned around to see Ren staring right at me, as if he had seen a- oh yeah, almost forgot I was a ghost.
"Ren, you can actually see me? You're not hallucinating, it's really me, the real Jaune!" I replied ecstatically, only to see Ren shake his head and walk off, mumbling something about needing an aspirin. I turned around to the glowing orb to see a small button on it. I picked it up, surprised that I could actually touch it. On the side there was a warning label:
Apparition Device #43: Now You See Me!
This device allows an angel, or apparition, to become visible to the living world, but only on Halloween. The ADC, or Apparition Device Company, is trying to format one that works every day of the year. Just hold this out, and press the button to become visible.
"Wait a minute, living people can see me then?" I mused, getting an idea. I picked it up, and ran back to the dorms.
