Chapter IIII
Storm
Eva woke up cold. She was trembling. It was frigid weather. The raindrops everywhere echoed in the cold, eerie silence. A flash of light lit up the ship with a blinding light. The night sky growled in response and suddenly rain was pouring down. The wind howled as it whipped her cheek in the darkness. The rain froze into hail pinching her skin painfully. Eva ran back to the corner and covered herself in sacks. Her lips were blue. Her heart was pounding as noise erupted on the deck. Eva and her family huddled close together to keep warm. Water froze their feet and seawater spit over the gunwale.
