Kimiko concluded at a young age that it was not going to be easy being the daughter of a demon lord, especially one as powerful as Kokushibo and since the incident he's been extra vigilant about their surroundings.
Sure she needed him at first of course when her sight was still unclear, but since she's regained her vision she's been finding her independence again yet still finds him lingering around
Making things sometimes troublesome as the young girl wanted to branch out and spread her wings more as an individual
"What are you doing over there, father?" She calls out turning her head to the side of the house where Kokushibo stood in the darkness with his eyes closed, assuming he was hidden
She can see me?
"Hm? I just so happened to-"
"To be outside this time of day?" She smiles playfully turning the rest of her body towards him. She places a hand on her hip
"You know if we could just find that damned plant..." he pauses reaching out the tip of his fingers into the sunlight. She watched how quickly his skin burned at the very touch of light before he pulls his arm back into the shadows
A gasp escaped her lips.
She knew what would happen and still wasn't mentally prepared for the sight of him burning so easily
"Please don't do that in front of me... you know that it frightens me" she mumbles these words to him and he zoned out for a moment
Sometimes I find it hard to believe that she will ever understand me the way that I do
She turns her head back towards the sunset, basking in its glory and all six of his eyes are fixated on her
"You should have no weaknesses-"
"And what about you?"
He continues staring at her, wondering when she became so witty
"I think you know it will always be you then" he reminds her and she smiles to herself
He turned to walk back inside and paused
"When you get finished up here, you'll want to rest before your training with Akaza"
Kokushibo strongly believes in a more diverse method of training for Kimiko now, especially after she explained what happened that night.
Kimiko openly admitted to freezing up in the presence of the demon and he knew her flaw instantly. She needs to practice more hand to hand combat.
