Jenna POV:
I woke up when I heard loud noises outside. I groaned and turned to the window which was between my bed and Aliyah's bed. "Aliyah...can you see what's going on there." I said, still half asleep.
No answer came. I opened my eyes and saw that Aliyah was still sleeping. I took my pillow and threw it in her face as her eyes quickly opened. "Jenna?! Why are you doing that?!... What are those noises?" she asked.
"That's why I woke you up so you could go take a look." I said and rubbed my eyes. Aliyah stood up and looked out the window. "Oh...I think someone is moving in there." she said.
"What?" I asked, confused and stood up. I looked out the window and saw a moving truck. Then a car drove up. Aliyah and I watched closely. "I didn't know we were getting new neighbors." she said.
"Do you think I knew about it?" I asked sarcastically as she rolled her eyes. A family gets out of the car. "The family is definitely not from the USA." I said. "You're right...omg do you see that cute boy?" she asked.
I looked out the window and saw a boy, about my age but very tall for his age. Maybe he's older after all. But he was cute. "Who is cute?" a voice asked behind us.
We were scared just before we saw Mia. Our big sister. Yep, I have five siblings, so there are a few more to come. "Uhh..." Mia came to the window and looked out. "Oh? new neighbors?" she asked.
We watched the family and didn't notice the boy looking around. Then he looked at us. "Shit-" Mia said and we hid. "Breakfast!" Mom called from downstairs. We quickly got up and ran downstairs.
We sat down at the table and Mom put breakfast on the table as my brothers sat down too. "Uh Mom? Who are our new neighbors?" I asked. "New neighbors?" Markus asked.
"Oh yeah. The family is from Spain. Uhh I think their last name is Valdez." Mom said. "Word has already gotten around here." she added. "What are you talking about here?" Dad asked as he came down the stairs.
"About our new neighbors." Isaac replied. "Oh the Valdez family? The father, Diego, will be working with me for the first day tomorrow." Dad explained. "Oh he works with you?" Aliyah asked.
"Well he always worked from Spain and i meet him and his family one time there but tomorrow is his first official working day in the USA. But we are already friends because we have worked together before." Dad said. We all ate breakfast and Dad told us a little more about the family that he knows.
"Oh and their oldest son should be in your class, Jenna." he said. "Oh cool, what's his name?" I asked curiously. "Leo." he answered. "Reyna, the eldest, is the same age as Mia. Lucia, the youngest, with her twin brother, Hugo, are a year younger than both of you." he said and pointed to Markus and Aliyah.
When we were done we all freshened up. I looked out the window and then through the window of our new neighbors. Then Leo showed up there. I quickly moved to the side before he saw me.
After a while we went out into the garden. Markus had his favorite paper airplane with him, and it has survived a lot. No idea how. He threw it and it started flying. We all watched it afterwards.
