It was time. This whole week Elrond has been pounding coffee and studying every possible dilemma to make sure this goes right. Before we got in, I gave his cheek a kiss.

"Good luck, uncle," I said softly. He nodded. The bags under his eyes made me feel more loved. That he would go through that to save my case. When we got in, dad, Aurora, Altan, Elrond and I sat in the front. We then saw who was in the court as well. Ms. Stjerne was there, Ms. Akgün there as their lawyer. No one else. The judge was Queen Amaris, with her daughter Amalthea. She's so pretty in person! Besides that, Ms. Amaris cleared her throat.

"Hello, Starla Moon. I am Judge Chandra Amaris, and today we are discussing the case of Cyra Akgün and Carina Stjerne, who claim that the living space of their biological children is abusive and should not have them. Plaintiff, you may begin," she explained softly to the court. Ms. Akgün cleared her throat.

"Your honor, this should not even be discussed! What child is going to have a stable home life with so many people? Especially my son. He has no parents in that home, and I know he is longing for the embrace of a mother or father. It's only fair that I get my son back, and my client's daughter should go with who she shares blood to," Ms. Akgün said. She sat down and Ms. Amaris nodded.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

"I see, that could cause some troubles. Defendant, you may continue," she said.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

"Your majesty, if I may be so bold. Starla Moon has an extraordinary life at home, and is one of the top three in her classes. She is given the proper nutrition and education to be in a stable environment. Altan, on the other hand, has Starla's family taking care of him. Not to mention, that the adoption papers signed by Cynthia and Bulan Moon are legally binding, which means that there is no discussion about taking her back. Bulan and Cynthia Moon are her legal guardians," he said as he sat down.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

"That's true!" Amalthea said.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

"Very well. That is legally binding. Plaintiff, go ahead," she said. It really should be closed and done by now.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

"Your honor, Starla should not be up for debate like an object! It shows how incompetent they are! And Altan, he would not be as far as he is without me! I never gave him up for adoption! Is that fair? To have my son ripped away from me?" she cried. How dramatic.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

"Well, if he was never given for adoption, he should be given back to his true parents," she said.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

"Mom, they wouldn't take away a son from an innocent woman! She must have done something for them to take him like that!" Amalthea said. She was clearly on our side!

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

"That's bullshit! I gave him everything!" Ms. Akgün said, the filter slipping. Altan flinched.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧

"Aha! Altan flinched! That means he's scared of her! Mom, she's not worthy!" Amalthea said. The judge brought Amalthea down.
