— Backstory
... Chiyo was born an only child into a household where her parents were both very successful. Her father was a doctor and her mother was a lawyer. Because of this she had lots of pressure on her back to preform as well as they did. Besides that pressure, she really did like learning. It was her constant need to be the best which damaged her. After it all became too much for her, she ran off from home to the park one afternoon where she had her first encounter with a digimon in some weird mist. Just as all seemed lost, a loud "Diamond Storm!" Broke the air and the digimon broke down into data. From there she was swept up in furry arms and taken home. The next morning it all felt like a dream until a few years later when she entered the digital world with Davis and the others.
