Chapter 4: Failed Experiments

It's the next year. It's summer vacation, the friend group have finished their Jr year. Hacobe decides to go to a hotel near the edge of Crazones walls. It just opened so Hacobe will be one of the first people to book there. He wanted to invite his friends but he had a feeling they'd have their own plans. So Hacobe goes to the hotel by himself and checks into his room. He lays down and puts his suitcase under the bed. He gets a knock on the door with a voice yelling "House keeping." Hacobe just got to the hotel, he doesn't need it. So he yells out to them saying no thanks. It goes silent so Hacobes just lays there, but then the door opens wide and a mysterious figure with a robe walks in. They pull out a gun loaded with slushi bullets, Hacobe gets up and is about to turn into Hybrid but then the figure shoots him with a blueberry bullet. Which knocks him out. He blacks out, he wakes up with metal strapping him to a wall. Hacobe looks up and he looks around the room. He sees a lot of old dusty desks and broken chairs on the floor. And many chambers with broken glass screens, with only a few light bulbs working. Then we see a mysterious figure get up from a broken chamber, it slowly walks towards Hacobe and exits the shadows. It looks like a man with ragged clothes, with long hair covering one of his eyes, and an insane facial expression. Hacobes yells to the man why he kidnapped him. The person speaks."I... am Rob Ronasky. Don't worry Hacobe, you may not know me but I know all about you. From a young age I was abandoned by my family, my mom divorced my dad and my dad abandoned me. I looked all over this wretched country for a home, but I was found by the scientist who ran this old lab. They took me in, made me feel like I would be safe, until they threw me in a cell and experimented on me. I was tortured for so many years.. I only had one person who kept me sane. But that's all in the past, when that rechead Bizar Virus spread, all the scientists left this place in fear of getting infected, so that left me to escape. And I studied you when I found out you destroyed the virus. Or so we thought.." Hacobe looks at Rob with a confused face. Rob continues on, "I know you didn't destroy the virus, I know the virus still exists it's just being held by the King! I know what everyone else doesn't. Like how you have a little spirit inside of you.." Hacobe looks at Rob with a surprised look, What does he mean spirit? What's going on? Rob continues. "You may not realize it but your inner power always expands when your eyes turn red, you haven't noticed? Well I have, and surprisingly maybe your friends haven't. But I also know a lot more, I know you were going to kill Morin, but your friends held you back. I know you have a little crush on that Beast girl, I know your friends are looking for you.. right now." Hacobe sweats when he hears Rob talk about the stuff. How his friends are looking for him, and how he knew he liked Stephanie. But besides that, he looks around for a way to get out of this situation. He can't use his wristband since the blueberry bullet effect hasn't worn off yet. Then Rob says something, "I have a proposition for you. I have a plan, a plan for the both of us to accomplish something nobody can. Join me in my efforts to destroy this universe for what it has done to us, and together we'll run off to another and maybe conquer that one for kicks!" Hacobe is shocked and disgusted at the idea of him conquering a universe, let alone destroying this one. He knew he had to find a way to get out of here, he struggled through the metallic straps. Rob guaranteed that Hacobe couldn't escape. Rob then asks him one last time to join. Then we hear a sudden burst, one of the walls are broken down and we see Nick in his Spiko form. He tackles Rob and then we see Miguel jump inside to break Hacobe from his restrains. The 2 jump out of the building with Stephanie at the bottom waiting for them. Rob pushes Spiko off before he transforms into the cursed symbol, Alert. Then Spiko begins to fight against Alert, but it's crazy how Alert is so much stronger than Spiko, he immediately falls, and Alert jumps out of the building. We are in the middle of the streets in the big city. Hacobe faces Alert, the slushi effects have worn off so we finally see Hybrid. Hybrid and Alert charge at each other with incredible speed, the 2 jump in the air and clash a punch, then tackle each other mid air before getting tangled up. Then Alert pushes Hybrid towards a building before scratching him. Then Hybrid pushes Alert inside a building crashing into multiple pillars. Alert says thaat Hybrid is no match but Hybrid doesn't care. Then the 2 burst out of the building falling to the ground. Then Alert charges a mega beam at Hybrid, Hybrid tries to block the beam but it's too much to handle. The Alert begins to attack Hybrid with multiple blows. Then Alert grabs Hybrid and grinds his face on the cement floor, before pounding him to the floor. Then he is about to finish him off, but then Miguel, Nick, and Stephanie all begin to run towards Alert, he then gets away quickly. Hacobe slowly looks up at them and warns them about Alerts plan. The 3 then look at each other and agree to keep guard on the multiversal transporter parts. Stephanie quickly goes to the old abandoned church where one piece is kept. Then Nick goes to the Arena to guard another piece. Miguel stays with Hacobe to get him back up. Miguel puts Hacobe in a S-Hospital. Hacobe rests there and Miguel says he'll go guard the other piece. Hacobe thinks how he'll be able to defeat Alert, but then somebody barges into the hospital room and knocks Hacobe out with another blueberry slushi bullet. Meanwhile, we see Alert arriving at the abandoned Church, and part of the MTP is right there at the Altar. But before he can reach it, Stephanie jumps down from the building and turns into She-Hybrid. The 2 then begin. Alert dodging some attacks and so is Stephanie. But both of them are hiding some secret power. Then Stephanie begins to use her inner beast to do extra damage, while Alert keeps using his experimental abilities. Even with She-Hybrids beast ability, Alert overpowers her with his mutated power. And then he lands a powerful uppercut to her, for a second she lost her true form and reverted to her Symbolic Beast form. But before she overwhelmed herself she reverted to normal. Alert steps over her body and collects the piece. He then walks out of the Church with the piece in his hand, while Stephanie lays on the floor unconscious. We see Hacobe waking up, this time he's in another Lab room. He sees a figure facing the other way, repairing a part of the MTP. Hacobe yells out to the figure, then it turns around. It looks like a Morin, but mutated. Hacobe speaks out asking what he is. The mutant Morin speaks, he is Rob's best friend, maybe even brother. They were both in the same lab where they were experimented on. They both grew fond of each other and promised they'd be friends. He became Rob's right hand man and made sure that everything went according to plan. Hacobe says that Rob is insane and shouldn't be trusted, that the mutant Morin should stop working for him. The Morin says he's working WITH him, not for him. He can do what ever he wants, he just respects Rob. Then we hear a door open, and Alert walks in with the MTP piece and places it on the other. Then he pulls out a laptop and places it on a table facing Hacobe. Rob asks if he has considered joining him yet, which Hacobe declines yet again. Rob smiles widely and asks Hacobe to reconsider one last time. Then Rob opens the laptop and starts an anonymous video call. Then we see Hacobe's Mom strapped down with multiple lazer guns pointed at her. Hacobe panics and screams at Rob to let her go. Rob of course says he will if he joins him in his plan. Then Jessica, Hacobe's mom, speaks. "Hacobe, sweetie! Don't do it. You know you can't, don't worry about me. I've lived my life already, make sure you live yours and do the right things. Don't join evil, even when it takes you by the throat." Hacobe starts tearing up, he can't look at his mom like this. Rob starts getting annoyed and activates the guns. Slowly they start powering up and the mom says her final words. "Don't worry Hacobe! I love you and always did. Your father would be so proud. Don't let yourself become one of them!" Then with a flash, the lazer beams go off and the laptop turns off. Hacobe's heart drops. Time goes by slow. His heart beat is loud. Tears slide down his cheek and his eyes are small. Then he lets out a loud scream of agony. He starts bawling insanely. Then Rob claims that if he'd join quicker then she would have survived. Hacobe slowly looks at Rob, his eyes turning red and his tears turning into radiation. Hacobe yells at Rob saying "I'm gonna kill you!" But then Rob shoots Hacobe with another blueberry S bullet. Making Hacobe slowly knock out. The Mutant Morin then starts to complain to Rob. Saying that he was going to far, and he shouldn't be doing this. Rob gets confused and mad at the Morin asking whats gotten into him. Then he sees Hacobe slowly waking up already, then the Mutant Morin looks at him too. Rob understands now. Hacobe said something to Morin that made him change his mind. Then Alert is about to shoot a beam at Hacobe until Morin jumps and and counters the blast quickly. Alert is shocked by this and yells at Morin to move out of the way. The Morin doesn't budge. Alert gets annoyed and sad, knowing what he has to do now. Then Alert charges at the Morin. Morin quickly starts to attack Alert, making sure to not hold back. Then Alert starts to counter, make sure to try and intimidate Morin into changing back, but it seems its too late. Then Morin begins to hurt Alert by using his own mutant abilities by slicing him with his symbolic blade. Alert however is withstanding the stabs. Then the 2 keep fighting. Soon Morin tries this strategy again, slicing Alert with his S-Blade multiple times. This time even more, but it seems Alert isn't taking as much damage and even counters Morin with his own blade, and unfortunately has to put his brother down. Alert stabs the Morin straight in the heart. With tears in his eyes he looks up to face Hacobe. But he's gone. Hacobe managed to escape the lab while the 2 were fighting. We see Hacobe running down the streets of Crazone, trying to get to his house. Hacobe makes it down the street but what he sees is horrifying. His house is destroyed, it has been blown up. Everything is destroyed. Hacobe walks through the ruins of his old home, looking at all the memories. Then he finds his moms body, buried in the rubble. He falls on his knees and cries his soul out. He lost his mom. Then we see Ginelle off in the distance, running to Hacobe crying as well. She hugs her brother and they both begin to cry, as it slowly begins to rain over them. Then Miguel, Nick, and Stephanie arrive in a large truck. Nick says that Rob had already gotten the final piece of the Multiversal Transporter, now he can use it. Hacobe slowly gets up clenching his fists, and says he wants to find Rob. But then everyone says they can't. They need to make a plan to defeat Rob carefully. Hacobe gets pissed off but he agrees. The group of 5 go to Miguels apartment and all sleep there. Ginelle wakes up in the middle of the night when she feels a discomfort. She shrugs it off and returns to sleep, but she notices something. Hacobe was sleeping next to Stephanie, but he's not there. Ginelle wakes everyone up asking where Hacobe went. We see Hacobe running to the dump. He runs up the hill and walks down it and sees Rob trying to turn on the MTP under the dumps main roof. Hacobe yells out with all his might, "ROBERT!" Rob turns around and turns into Alert immediately. Alert looks at Hacobe and laughs saying he can't possibly defeat him. Hacobe turns into Hybrid and the ground shakes. All the trash begins to fall, and Alert can feel an intense heat. Then we see Hybrid looking at the floor, radiation leaking down on the floor from his eye sockets. Then he looks up and opens his eyes, they are pitch black with a glowing red iris. The radiation gets worse and more strings spew out. His sharp teeth grinding. Alert has a face of fear. Then with power, we hear Hybrid let out a mighty roar, it echoes all over Crazone. We see the group outside of the apartment building and they hear the roar. They all know who it's coming from, they immediately get in the truck and quickly drive to the dump trying to catch up with Hacobe. Hybrid then charges at Alert with incredible speed, not even Alert could have countered in time. Alert tries to fight Hybrid and use his mutant powers, but Hybrid seems to overpower those abilities. Then Alert starts to throw super speed punches, but Hybrid dodging them with ease. The Hybrid throws his own fast powers. Then the 2 collide as they push each other's arms trying to gain dominance. Alert tries his best to dominate Hybrid's power but Hybrid completely towers over Alert, and stares him down with his horrific eyes. The Alert with fear uses his mutant scratch abilities to hurt Hybrid. Alert then runs to the MTP and turns it on quickly so he can escape. But Hybrid gets even more made and attacks Alert. He accidentally hits the machine and it starts to go haywire. The Machine starts to malfunction and everything is starting to get sucked in. Alert is about to escape but Hybrid catches him and puts him in a choke hold. Then the group of 4 make it to the dumb and run quickly. Then everybody sees what Hybrid has become. Miguel, Nick, Ginelle, and even Stephanie sees this. Hybrid with his horrific eyes stares at them seeing their sadden reaction. Then Hybrid has a worried face and slowly the dumps main roof collapses on them both. Everything gets crushed. The 4 then rush to help Hacobe but they can't find the bodies or the machine, maybe they were obliterated. They all keep searching, but eventually Nick and Miguel give up. Stephanie and Ginelle keeps searching desperately in the rubble. And soon the 2 guys have to stop them. All of them with tears in their eyes, stare into the rubble and they all look down in sorrow. What has become of Hybrid, and what happened to him. The 4 then slowly leave the dump, all with tears in their eyes, as they all go home knowing they lost their closest family member.
