Chapter 5:Altar Ego

One year later from chapter 4 and when we had lost Hacobe. Everyone had finally graduated high school including Miguel, Nick, and Stephanie. It turns out, Richard and Ginelle had grown fond of each other since they met and began dating. So luckily for Ginelle she was able to move in with him, still she was sorrowed from losing her home. We see Richard walking down the streets of Crazone and goes inside the Arena, where he looks at the old Arena Hybrid would fight in. He feels sorrow but then he is approached by the Man who worked for Crazone government. Richard asks of his presence and the Man says he has something important to show. The man pulls out a phone with a camera caught video of a mysterious creature that had broken in the Arena last night. Richard asks what the creature is and the Man says that he should know. Then the video quality enhances and Richard cannot believe his eyes. The mysterious creature looks like none-other than Hybrid. Richard grabs the phone and takes a closer look, it does look like Hybrid on there. But why and how is he in the Arena. And what's going on with him, it looks like he's in the middle of the Arena with a tornado of energy forming around him. Earlier that Night- We see a small hut up on a hill, far away from the main cities of Crazone. We look inside the old wooden cabin and it looks dusty and messy. An old mattress and dusty mirror on a wooden table. And a lamp on the roof of the cabin making the only light available inside. We see a broken frame with a picture of Jessica Revival. Then from within the dark room of the cabin. Hacobe slowly walks out of the shadows and stands in front of the picture of his mom. He tears up slowly and thinks of all the memories he once held. But then we hear a voice, telling him to stop crying. Hacobe yells shut up to himself. Then the voice returns, saying that Hacobe is weak. Who is this voice? Hacobe keeps arguing with himself, then the voice says why does he fight. Why does Hacobe keep pushing him away when all he did was help. Hacobe argues saying that he never helped, he only made things worse. Then the voice said that every time he came out it was because Hacobe begged him for help. Every fight Hacobe won was from him. Hacobe is only alive because of him. Hacobe says he never wanted to live with him, he'd rather die that day than survive and feel this much pain. Then Hacobe looks in the mirror, his eyes pitch black and red irises. Then Hacobe grabs his head and moves around the cabin holding his head in pain. Then outside of the cabin, Hacobe breaks through the wall and runs down the hill struggling with his mind. He runs into the Arena as his eyes struggle red. Then he transforms into Hybrid as his eyes return to the black, red iris and radiation leakage form once again. Then a tornado of energy forms around him, we see a red mysterious figure inside the tornada and we see Hacobe on the other end, the creature says to let him take over Hacobes body and make things better for him, Hacobe doesn't want to but it seems he can't control himself anymore. Then the tornado of energy disappears and we see Hybrid looking at the floor. When he looks up, his eyes are still pitch black, red iris, and leaking radiation. It seems, Hacobe lost his mental fight. Now his body is being possessed. Present- Richard has been assigned to look for Hacobe immediately. He calls everyone to a group meeting where he explains to them that Hacobe is alive and has been found going on a crucial rampage. Hybrid goes into the Arena and begins fighting, but this time he goes for the kill. He takes his opponents wristband and keeps it, for some reason. He walks out of the Arena and then we see Richard turning into a Basher and confront Hybrid. Basher is asking what happened to Hybrid. How did he survive and what's going on with him. Hybrid speaks but it isn't his voice. Then voice speaks again, he says that Hacobe isn't here anymore, he is locked away while the voice takes control. Basher asks who he is, then the voice says,"I am the inner spirit of Hacobe. I am Altar Ego!" Then AE Hybrid attacks Basher, Basher fights back and tries to hold Hybrid down, but even with all his might, AE is just too strong. Basher keeps trying to wake Hacobe up, trying to bring him out. Basher brings up his sister and how sad she is. Then Hybrid grabs his head in pain, and a green aura flares over him, Hybrid/AE screams out as he can't concentrate. Basher sees this as an opportunity to attack but then AE uses Hybrids tentacles to push away Basher. AE regains control but he's more mad. He the punches Basher in the gut which finishes him off. Then walks away leaving Richard on the ground helpless. Richard calls everyone and warns them about what's happening. It turns night time and AE-Hybrid walks down the streets with a collection of old opponent wristbands. From out of an ally, Nick jumps out and speaks into a radio and says,"I found him." He seemed to have warned the others that he has eyes on Hybrid. Nick turns into Spiko and tries to speak some sense into Hybrid. But Hacobe is nowhere to be heard from, only Altar Ego. Then he attacks Spiko, Spiko keeps trying to talk to Hacobe but there is only the Ego. Then he has no choice to fight back, no matter how hard Spiko tried, AE just overpowered Hacobes mind. And with a final blast, Spiko drops to the ground, defeated. AE-Hybrid continues to fight in the Arena the next day. He faces a strong opponent that had put up a good fight but still wasn't enough to win against the Altar Ego. He then exits the Arena walking down the streets with his wristband collection. Then he sees his doctor, Dr. (Walt) Gess, who was taking a stroll. Walt saw Hacobe and decided to say hi. But AE recognized the doctor and knew that if he were to contact the other, it would stop AE from completing his mission. Walt asked where Hacobe's friends were, and soon Hacome come out from inside of his inner prison and told the doctor to run and get them. AE didn't like that, soon AE returned and got physical with the doctor. Hybrid has turned back into his Altar Ego forms. Back with the pitch black eyes, red iris, and radiation. Then he began to fight the doctor. But then Walt turned into his symbol, Slash. Slashes are known to be the fastest symbols. So Slash used his super speed to catch Hybrid off guard, but AE's power boost also makes Hybrids speed even with Slash. Soon both of them are charging and Slash elbows Hybrid. Then Hybrid speaks, his voice sounding wicked,"You won't make me go back. NoT eVeR!!!" Then Hybrid uppercuts Slash and the continue to fight. Slash manages to put a hold on Hybrid, squeezing his body tightly between his arms. Then he starts to punch Hybrids head multiple times, then we hear Hacobes voice as he fights back against Altar Ego. He speaks, saying he won't hold him. He needs help. The AE breaks loose from Slashes hold and begins attacking again. Soon Slash is getting overwhelmed but unlike the others, he didn't hold back and went for head blows. Slash kept punching Hybrid in the head over and over, until he got one huge hit. And knocks Hybrid out cold on the floor. Then Dr Walt grabs Hacobe and carries his knocked out body away. Hacobe wakes up. But he's in a weird place. The sky is orange, there are pillars all over. And there is a deep hole in the middle surrounded by gates. Then a red glow ascends from the hole, then we see a spirit, glowing red and fierce. Then the spirit turns out to be Altar Ego himself. He looks evil and wicked. Then AE charges at Hacobe and punches him hard in the face, then Hacobe gets launched and crashes through a wall, but then the wall breaks and Hacobe falls into the space void behind it. Then Hacobe begins to falls through the deep space, and then hits the ground hard. But he looks up and he's in a white void. Similar to when he fought Morin and blacked out. He looks around and sees a glowing green figure walking towards Hacobe. The figure becomes close enough to view. It sort of looks like Hacobe. But he has a green spot around his chest and shoulders. His arms are half green, and his lower body is red like his symbol. And the eyes are glowing green as well. The creature talks, "My name is Altar. You may not recognize me but I was there for you when you needed mental help. I am the second spirit which lives deep inside you. And I will help you against Altar Ego." Hacobe is confused. He asks how they exist. Altar replies,"You see. The truth is, you were not born with a symbol like your family or everyone else in Crazone. You were different. Your parents panicked so they gave you your Hybrid symbol by doing the ritual. And because of you not being born with a symbol you had power unlike any other." Hacobe replies asking then how did the spirits come along. Altar replies,"The day you got your spark. You see, a spark has effect on a symbol depending on the emotion they'd received it with. Every emotion is available for sparks besides rage and anger. You however, when you got your spark fighting Basher, you were happy and excited. And because you were born without a symbol, your inner power gave birth to an inner symbol. Me, Altar." Hacobe doesn't understand the reason for this, but he realizes what happened. Altar then says,"But- you looked down at Basher and you felt anger, rage, and sorrow. The sorrow you felt when you lost your father. All of that emotion gave birth to another spirit. Altar Ego. And because he is full of powerful rage, he surpasses me in power already. But we are destaned to have equal power, it's just I haven't allowed myself to grow. But Altar Ego has gotten stronger because every life threatening battle you took, he was there." Everytime your eyes changed to red. It was him, taking control and using your body to grow. He helped you win these battles so he can evolve and become strong enough to take control completely." "Now, he has gone through more than halfway to his final stage. So far he has reached only stage 4 for his complete form." "We need to make sure he doesn't reach stage 7. Or else we won't be able to save you." Then the white void begins to grey out. Everything is breaking apart. Altar says their time is up. Hacobe runs to Altar, trying to grab him for he has more questions. But then the void disappears. Hacobe wakes up in a hospital bed. And everyone is around him. The doctor, his friends, his sister. Everybody. They all ask Hacobe if he's alright. Hacobe then immediately yells out to them he needs to leave now. But they wouldn't let him leave. Stephanie asks how he survived that day, at the dump. Hacobe says, "I wish I didn't.. I shouldn't have survived then or now. I wish I didn't fight back. I should have died that day when Morin put my down! Why did I get back up!? I would have rather died than feel the pain I do now." Everyone looks at him in pain and tries to comfort him but Hacobe didn't cooperate. He charged out of the hospital quickly trying to maneuver them off his trace. He ran into an alley in the streets and sat down, curling himself up and crying to himself. As the night above him continues. It's early morning, and the sun is rising. Hacobe's friend put up a bounty to find him, alive. Hacobe walks in the abandoned part of the small city, the sun covering his face. He covers the sun with his hand, he sees in the distance a man. In the distance. The man is huge. Hacobe yells out who he is. The guy says, "So you're the dangerous Hybrid? My name is Ricardo Manuel. And i'm gonna take your bounty." Ricardo turns into his symbol and began to fight Hacobe. But AE saw this and turned into Hybrid and turned only stage 3 of his Altar Ego form. The 2 started to fight, AE was holding back but it seemed Ricardo was hiding something too. Then Ricardo charges up, the world starts to change color. Then with a loud yell, Ricardo screams, "SPIRIT ASSIST!!" And a large flare of orange surround him. It seems Ricardo had transformed into a spiritual form. AE saw this and decided to go all out into stage 4. The 2 began to fight but it seems Ricardo is strong. But AE keeps pushing, and soon is able to knock Ricardo to thr floor, reverting to normal. Hybrid stands up tall and looks at Ricardo disappointed. He turns round but then a punch begisn to fly towards him. He gets hit hard in the face and he is knocked back a little. He looks up and it's Ginelle, his sister. She tries to talk to Hacobe but AE is keeping him down. Then he begins to fight her, they swiftly begin to fight, the sister trying her best to not harm him too much. THen two collide and Ginelle still tries to wake Hacobe up. AE is there still though. Then Ginelle begins to go all out, trying her best to knock him out again. AE is getting flustered but then he feels something, he grabs his head and hits himself. Hacobe almost held him back. But the two continue to fight. Ginelle is still going all out, but eventually Hybrid knocks Gee to the floor. Hybrid is about to blast her, but she grabs his arms and talks softly. Asking quietly for Hacobe to return. Then AE begins to struggle and a huge green beam shoots out from his body. AE holds his head tightly, he looks the other directiona and see's Stephanie aswell. She turned into She-Hybrid and asked Hacobe to come out. But AE keeps holding him back. Hacobe comes out and begs Stephanie to leave, but she won't. Eventually AE charges, but Hacobe is doing his best to hold him back. She-Hybrid is still fighting, both going all out. It seems She-Hybrid is winning since Hacobe is holding AE back a little. But soon AE is becoming overwhelming. Then Hacobe yells out he's sorry. Then Stephanie, being knocked to the floor, says it's alright. She's sorry for not being there to help him, and saying that she had always cared for him because she had secretly liked-liked him. Hacobe is speechless but AE doesn't care about love. He is about to blast her with no remorse. Until we hear a huge blast. Hacobe and Altar Ego look down, and see a large hole in their torso. And then it begins to glow purple. Then we hear a loud scream of pain coming from both of them. Hybrid falls to his knees and holds the ground hard. He breathes heavil but the pain is too much, he lets out a large scream. Then we see Ricardo, he is holdind his hand out, he shot his poison beam to Hybrid. Soon AE retreats back inside of Hybrids mind. Leaving Hacobe to bare the pain himself. He lies on the ground screaming and grunting in pain, his wound healing slowly and painfully. Stephanie quickly runs to his side and comforts him. She calls Miguel on her phone and asks him to come quickly. Ginelle confronts Ricardo and scolds him for firing the blast. Stephanie quickly acts and grabs Hacobe and carries him away fast. Ginelle stays behind still yelling at Ricardo. Miguel is quickly going to help Stephanie. Hacobe still healing from that poison blast is trying his best to stay conscious, before Altar Ego comes back. Stephanie keeps carrying him, but soon she gets tired out. She places Hacobe down for a second and calls Miguel again. Miguel says he's getting close to them, Stephanie hangs up to grab Hacobe again. But when she turns around, Hacobe is nowhere to be seen. He had scurried away quickly, for he wanted to protect her from himself. He is very disappointed in himself for doing that but he had no choice. Soon Altar Ego returns, and he gets a plan. He knows that Miguel seems to be one of the strongest members, so he has to find a way to get rid of him. Later that night, Miguel is searching around in the abandoned big city, hoping to find something of Hybrid's presence. Then we see a large creature, a dark figure with multiple eyes. He stands in front of Miguel who turns into Crasher. Soon the creature attacks Crasher, both seem even in strength, but then tables turn. The figure, begins to vibrate and then it splits into multiple of itself. The creature is a symbol called, cursade. Apparently it's a rare and dangerous symbol usually attained in Europe's hidden countries. Not to far from the battle, on top of a building we see Hybrid in his Altar Ego stage 4 state. He stares down and watches Crasher begin to lose himself. Hacobe however deep from inside slowly fights back against Altar Ego, trying to stop this from continuing. Soon Crasher couldn't withstand the power and collapsed from the multiple Cursade. Then with a loud scream, Hacobe uses all his might and somehow breaks free from Altar Egos full control. All though he can't fully control his body, he now controls Altar Ego. AE is getting annoyed with Hacobes power but with a hesitant second he allows Hacobe to save Miguel. Cursade is about to blast Miguel with a finishing blow, but then Hybrid jumps in between them. Miguel is surprised at this, but then Hybrid looks up and his eyes are different. They still are pitch black with the strings of radiation, but the irises are now a gold plate instead of blood red. As if this means AE is controlled. Cursade complains why Hybrid is intervening, for he was the one who hired him. With AE's voice, Hybrid says that the deal is off and to back off. Cursade gets mad and says he won't stop until Miguel is dead. Hybrid then has no choice to fight against the cursade. Hybrid let's out a wicked laugh before the 2 begin to charge. Hybrid has to fight all of Cursade's clones, with over 40 of them. Hybrid keeps punching, slicing and downing all the clones. The original staying far back away. THe Cursade is getting annoyed, and Hybrid is getting a little overwhelmed from using a lot of strength to kill every clone. Soon Cursade uses his blade attack to try and slice Hybrid and Hybrid is getting pushed back, Cursade keeps summoning more clones and harming Hybrid. Hybrid lets out a loud laugh, and Cursade yells out for Hybrid to die already. Then Hybrid lets out a loud roar, his raidation sparking insanly, then as his mouth stretches wider open, the red skin of the Hybrid symbol begins to peel off, showing normal skin under. Little pieces of the symbol skin fly off. And now Hybrid is even faster, faster than lightning. He manages kill every single clone with only a few attacks. Then he tackles the original Cursade and the two clash. Both fighting to win, then Hybrid pins him down and stabs him deep in the gut. Hybrid's blades going deep in the ground through Cursades body. Killing the Cursade. Miguel slowly gets up, still keeping his guard. Hybrid looks back at Miguel with the glowing red eyes once more. Still in this new stage of his Altar Ego. Then he charges at Miguel, Miguel puts his arms up to block, but then Hybrid stops in his tracks and leans backwards as if something is holding him. Altar Ego struggles but then back off, leaving Miguel on his own. Soon enough, his Altar Ego starts to mutate even more, Soon Hybrids skin on his face peels more. Then his neck starts turning into a gold color, and his arms turn green-ish. Soon he falls to the floor, blacked out. We skip a couple of minutes and the crew found Hybrids body, and carried it to the old hospital up a hill away from the main cities. Hybrid is on the hospital bed struggling, still knocked out. Then we go into the mental white abyss in his mind. We see Altar Ego and Altar facing each other wickedly. As if they're about to brawl, but unfortunately Altar Ego blasts Altar hard in the chest and the entire void around starts to shake. And then everything crumbles, then we see high above, Hacobe tied in chains hanging on the ceiling. Then Hybrid wakes, up. This time a large red aura surrounds him and everyone in the room is knocked back. The ground starts to shake and the hospital starts to quake. Everyone evacuates the building quickly. Soon the Hospital breaks down and forms a large dust cloud blocking everyone's vision. Then when the dust slowly fades, we see a giant floating creature above. It looked like, Altar Ego himself but as a giant floating monster. Everyone outside looks shocked and scared. Miguel, Richard, Ginelle, Stephanie, Walt, even the Bounty hunter Ricardo. The giant Altar Ego looks down at everyone, he smirks and then laughs loudly. He then declares his plan,"Symbols are a destructive and unworthy race for existence. If Symbols are meant to be fighters then so be it, but many Symbols broke their law every day! The Symbolic God punished Symbols by eradicated more than 3 quarters of them, but even this final percentage are unworthy to live. I will eradicate this universe, destroying all Symbols with it. And I shall do the same with every single universe as well!" Then a green blast strikes his cheek, AE looks to the side. We then see Altar flying above, he puts his hand down and stares. "You forgot one thing Altar Ego, when you released yourself from Hacobe's conscious, you released me too! I won't go down without a fight!" Altar Ego stares at Altar, he puts his hand up and fires a red beam at Altar. The beam strikes and Altar is surrounded by a dark red aura, with a loud painful scream Altar no longer glows green but now a burning red. His body gets contained inside a giant gem. Altar Ego looks down at the crew before firing one last energy beam. A giant explosion happens and everyone gets knocked down the hill. They look up and AE has created a large portal into some kind of dimension along with Altar. Everyone looks at each other worried, before anyone could say a word they fly up to the portal and travel through. The inside looks distorted and purple-ish red with cursed stars in the back. The dimension spins around them and they see Altar Ego floating in the distance, he's trying to break the barrier of reality to travel to an alternate universe and destroy this one at the same time. The 6 of them get onto a giant floating rock and each look at one another. "What do we do now?" Richard speaks. "I don't know, he's just too powerful." Miguel states. "We gotta kill this thing. here and now!" Ricardo Spoke. "We can't kill him! Hacobe is in there!" Ginelle pleads. "Why are we going to risk our pathetic lives to save one person if the entire universe is at stake?!" Recardo yells. Then Stephanie starts to speak "NO! We must fight to get him back and save our universe. You don't understand because you weren't there, Hacobe has always been there for us, to help us improve and keep us company. He's family, we're here together because of his courage and strength. We must save him and the Universe. For everyone's sake. Not just his." They all look at her in determination. They all stand up and look at Altar Ego, he looks back at them menacingly. Ginelle counts down. "5..4..3..2.....1!" Then all start flying towards AE, each one of them determined to win. Miguel charges and tries to land a kick, AE blocks it swiftly and knocks Crasher back. AE forms giant spikes to block their path. Then he calls forth the possessed Altar Spirit. The Giantss Crystal comes forth with Altars body, soon the Spirit comes out to face everyone. Basher gets his hands tied with Altar, but Ricardo lands a quickly blast. He then looks at the Crystal and gets an idea. He tells everyone to break the Crystal and Altar will be free. Stephanie and Basher charge at the Crystal but Altar gets in their way. Altar is about to blast them but Crasher jumps in and fires a swift beam, his eyes flicked orange. Then launches Altar at the Crystal, breaking it. Soon Altar has been released and everyone helps him up. Altar gets annoyed and soon summons the Symbols of all the opponents he fought in the Arena. They're all possessed though, nothing but spirits. Everyone takes them down quickly. But instead of getting rid of them, they use the Symbols spirits to give Altar power. Soon Altar starts to grow larger. Altar Charges but the Slash uses his super speed to quickly knock him back. Soon Altar becomes the size of AE. The two charge and clash, however AE holds more strength as he gets Altar in a corner. Before more damage can happen the crew yell out to AE. AE stares at them and sees them all in a group powering up a blast. With a loud scream of all of them, "SYMBOLIC BLAST!" All 6 of them combine their symbolic blasts into one huge beam, AE tries to block it with his Symbolic Shield but it's too much power, he gets knocked back. He is about to charge at them but Altar Ego catches him in a choke hold. Then pulls out his wristband arm. Everyone charges to the wristband but they all get caught behind. Stephanie then throws Crasher to the wristband where AE lets out a scream. Everything goes black. Then soon some light is shown. Miguel looks at the distance, then soon the fog fades out and we see Hacobe hanging there in chains in pain. Miguel runs up to him and tries to blast the chains. Unfortunately they're invincible. He tries to slice them but no use. Hacobe yells out to him there's no hope. "To kill Altar Ego you need to kill the host, a spirit can't live without a body." Miguel's eyes shrink as he realizes what he was to do. He deny's and says there's no way he can kill Hacobe. Hacobe tells him "It's fine, this is the end for us, for this. We've reminisced but it's too late. You have to do this, it's ok." Miguel grows tears and tries his best to think of solutions. Hacobe looks at him with a pain stare, Miguel looks back knowing what he must do. He turns on his Symbol and forms a symbolic blade. He holds it against Hacobes neck, shaking. Crasher can't hold back his pain, Hacobe signs with his lip, "My brother from another mother." With a giant battle cry, Crasher slices. We see back in the dimension, Altar Ego begins to glow. Part's of his body cracking. Altar lets go and everyone is watching. Then with a pained voice, Altar ego Smirks. "So the fool actually did it... well, i guess he's not so weak after all.." He lets out a small chuckle before exploding into nothingness. The Dimension soon starts to crash down and everyone finds their way out. Teleporting back to Crazone. Everyone asks if they're alright and find Miguel. They ask where's Hacobe. Miguel looks at them pained, they're eyes shrink as they all realized what he had to do. Many of them form tears, Ginelle falls to her knees and wallows in agony. Stephanie cries horribly, Miguel and Nick look down in grief. They all stare into the sky, knowing that Hacobe is proud of what they've done. And things will get better. Ending this giant chapter of their lives. opening a new book with a new story.
