Once he woke up, his music exploded in popularity. Dom and Valk tell him that he did a pretty good job at the music in the comments, as well as many others. However, he did not know that he'd be met with the opposite opinions from people he thought were friends.

He once came to talk with his friends. "So, you know about the biograft named Cupcake? Stupid as hell!" Skateboard was talking about a tragedy that happened at Blackrock and the gang laughed at the stupidity of the incident. Slingshot replied, "If only Subspace or the Betas held it back!" Eventually, Boombox joined in the chat and told them if they liked his new masterpiece. "Oh, that thing? No shit, it's absolutely terrible! Even my parents would die again if they heard the song!" Skateboard laughed his ass off. Slingshot followed "No shit! If Vine Staff or Katana were to hear it they'd be appalled!" Shuriken nervously replied with "Y.. Yeah! Terri..bly.. terrify..ing.. Terribly terrifying! Yeah!" with the last remark being from Skateboard once again: "We never liked your music dumbass. You're shit yourself as well and I never wanted to be friends with you.", and after those comments, Boombox felt dread. He then excused himself and ran off to a nearby pizzeria to calm himself down.

Once he entered the pizzeria, he ordered a medium pepperoni and went to sit down on one of the seats. He kept thinking: "What if they're right and my music IS trash? What if people are hiding their hate for my music away by telling me it's nice? What if everyone hates my music?? WHAT IF I'M ACTUALLY TERRIBLE??? WHAT IF-" then the waiter interrupts his thoughts with: "Excuse me, sir. Your pizza is here." "Whatever, I'll just eat this pizza.", Boombox thought while thanking the waiter and paying him. While eating the pizza, he was on this thought the entire time: "Are my friends bad or is my music bad?"

After he came home, he always checked the comments, no matter what time it was. For 5 days straight he checked if any negative comments existed on what he was only then proud of finishing at any time of the day. The more negative comments he read, the more deranged he was becoming, the less he went outside for fresh air and the less he felt happy. "Look, there's a lot of people that genuinely hate my art and I feel like they're true. I feel like what they're saying is right. Are my friends right? Am I a terrible person and a terrible DJ? Whatever, I'll just spend these days on takeout noodles and soda." So he did. He spent his days eating junk food and soda which made his body feel worse and even caused him to throw up. However, the puke he puked wasn't any ordinary puke. It was black. Pitch black. It didn't even have the consistency of puke itself, it was a strange goopy matter. He figured that maybe he didn't properly digest the sodas, then, an idea struck his mind. "Why don't I just let Medkit prescribe me and.. Let him share his interests about the music I've made? Surely he'll like it! Maybe he'd be a bit annoyed by the amount of effects but he'll definitely like it!" So he scheduled an appointment to Medkit for tomorrow and so he went to bed, still thinking about and sometimes checking the comments to see any negative ones.

The next day, he woke up and went straight to shower and put on new clothes and so he went to Medkit's office. On his way there he encountered Vinestaff. Vinestaff greeted him and told him how his newest composition was quite nice. She told him how the instruments blend well together and how the effects add soul to it, however, Boombox wasn't having it. "You must be joking. It's terrible." Boombox said. Vinestaff replied with "Look, even if it may seem bad to you, I'm sure many people love it. Keep doing what you like to do, there is no one stopping you from doing so, so don't pay attention to the hate!" Boombox just nodded, told her that he had to get to an appointment, Vinestaff excused herself, and so Boombox just continued on his way.
