Days have passed since the last incident and despite Phuwin's attempts to brush off his suspicions, he finds himself paying closer attention to Pond's actions and words, searching for clues about his true feelings.
Pond, unaware of Phuwin's suspicions, continues to interact with him as usual, but he can't help but notice a slight change in Phuwin's behaviour.
One afternoon, Phuwin took courage to confront Pond directly.
Phuwin: "Hey, Pond, can I ask you something?"
Pond: (Looking up from his sandwich)"Sure, what's on your mind?"
Phuwin: "Do you... like anyone?"
Pond's eyes widened in surprise, but after moments, he nodded.
Pond: "Yeah, I do. But... I don't think they feel the same way about me."
Phuwin's heart sank at Pond's response, but before he could say anything, Dunk, interrupted their conversation. With a casual grin, he sat on Pond's lap, completely oblivious to the tension in the air.
Dunk:"Hey, guys! Mind if I join you?"
Phuwin:(under his breath)"As if you didn't join already"
Pond: "Hey, Dunk! Not at all, but get off me you're heavy as hell"
Dunk chuckled, unfazed by Pond's reaction, and shifted to sit properly in the chair beside him.
Dunk: "So, what are you guys up to?"
Pond: "Just grabbing lunch. Phuwin was asking me some questions."
Phuwin: "Yeah, just some work stuff. Nothing important."
Their conversation flowed effortlessly, with Pond and Dunk recalling their university adventures and sharing inside jokes that left Phuwin feeling like an outsider.Their laughter filled the room, and Phuwin couldn't help but feel a hint of jealousy for the easy bond they shared.
As they kept chatting Phuwin watched the way they naturally fell into their old rhythm as good friends. And as he observed their interactions, a thought began to nag at him.
Could it be possible that Pond's crush was Dunk all along? The thought sent a pang of jealousy through Phuwin's heart, but he pushed it aside.
As the day drew to a close and Phuwin made his way home, the image of Pond and Dunk laughing together haunted him. But despite the many questions surrounding him ,one thing became clear !..he was determined to uncover the secrets that lay hidden between Pond and Dunk, no matter the cost.
He didn't even know why he was so determined to find out the truth, and when did he become interested in his Pi's relationships and emotional affairs, he only considered him as a big brother, didn't he? Well that was the second thing that confused Phu for the day.
