I woke up the next morning at around 5 o' clock with a headache. "Get up!" My sister knocked hard on my door. "I'm coming..." I grumbled, got up out of bed, threw on some clothes, and  looked out the window in hopes of catching a glimpse of Leo for some reason. He lived on the other side of town, so I wasn't sure why I had any hope of seeing him in the first place. "OLIVER!!" I rolled my eyes at the sound of my sister's voice and walked out of my room.

"Finally!" She said, obviously annoyed. "Breakfast is ready. Its eggs, so don't complain. Also, I won't be home till later tonight, I'm going to a concert with my girlfriends, so you'll need to open and run the shop." She smiled in her signature infuriating way. "Fine." I said begrudgingly. "Thanks! You're my favorite brother!" She smiled, grabbing her keys and walking out the door. "I'M YOUR ONLY BROTHER!" I yelled back, my face angry. I can't believe she's making me run the shop all day again. I went into the kitchen, and found that her version of breakfast was two hard, uncracked, raw eggs on a cold frying pan. Agitated and tired, I put on my worn, black sneakers and walked out of the door.

As I opened up shop, I heard a familiar voice. "Hey!" I turned around, searching for the source of the sound, and found Leo. "Are you at the shop alone again?" I nodded "Yeah, my sister bailed once more." I threw up my hands dramatically and rolled my eyes. Leo giggled and asked if he could come behind the counter, to which I said yes, as the store wasn't even really open yet. He walked over to me and handed me a pink paper rose. "Here." He said, smiling. I took the flower and thanked him,  placing it on a counter near the back.

"Hey, why don't we get out of here?" Leo said from behind me.

"What?" I turned around, slightly shocked. "We- nevermind, sorry." He looked at the ground, covering his face with his hands. "No! No, you're okay. I- I like that idea, but let's talk about that later tonight, at the tree house." I suggested as I turned around to the counter again. He smiled, and said he liked that idea. "Do you wanna run the shop today?" He asked me, tilting his head slightly, his golden hair falling over his eyes. "No, not really, why?" I asked without turning around to look back at him. "Why not just not open up today? We could go to the tree house a little early, I don't have anything to do today." I though for a second, considering the fact my sister wasn't going to be home till quite a while after the shop had closed, I agreed. "Sure, why not?"
