The city of Chicago during the night, a figure in a silver suit was walking through the streets of the city entering a small diner and sitting down near empty table away from the other patrons, a young man in his early 20's with comb blond hair and silver eyes
A waitress walked up to his table to take his order.
"What can I get for sir" she asked.
"Just water please I'm waiting for a old friend so I won't stay long." He says with a smile.
"Sure thing Hon I'll bring it for you in a minute."
The waitress walks off and leaves the man by himself he heard the tv talking about some so-called demon sightings in around the world. Blurry cellphone video began to play showing three individual that are clearly not human in a field freeze frames and zooms in still blurry.
To anyone else this was all just a stunt from some kids or crazy humans looking for some attention, but to those in the know it was something very concerning.
The TV then suddenly cut off filling the diner with static and a few groans of annoyance.
"Dammit damn thing on the Fritz again."
The waitress says as she brings a glass of water and sets it down on the table.
"Here you are hon, are you sure you don't want anything else. We have a special on pue today ranked number two in the city and trust me it's earned that."
"No, Like I said I'm fine, you know what forget it I Will have a slice of pie"
" What kind."
"Banana cream please, felt like decades since I've had some."
"Sure thing. I promise it's to die for." The waitress leaves and come back with a slice of pie.
"So, what brings you to Chicago you don't seem to be from around here. Business or something else"
The man looks at his food and takes a sip of his water before giving a small laugh." That obvious huh. What gave me away."
" Well the first thing that gave you away is that your walking around in a nice suit in one of the higher crime areas without a care in the world. And also the accent." The lady says looking at her tag the name reads Olivia.
The wind outside picks up blowing some trash and the sound of thunder is heard.
"It's a bit of both," the man grabs his for and stabs the pie and brings to to his mouth. Putting it into his mouth a hum of delight. Chewing slowly savoring the taste.
"I have the meeting of a lifetime and if all goes right, I can make some wrongs right."
"Well I hope it goes well for you sir and don't worry the pie on the house. Consider it a free sample and if your ever income back."
I have a feeling that won't be happening. By the way Olivia don't worry, it will only last a minute, just remember you're going to a better place soon.
The waitress was confused and going to ask what he means
The wind outside grows faster and the thunder more sever till all of a sudden the. very ground began to shake a few cries of panic spread throughout the diner the static of the tv starts to get louder making a terrible noise.
"What the hell is going."
"Earthquake hit the deck!
"What the fuck is that noise."
Some got as low as they could or held on to whatever the could. Olivia got to the floor and looked up at the man she was just talking to to see him still in the position he was in before still eating his pie acting like nothing was happening.
"Sir get down before you get hurt."
The man continues as he is until he looks at her with the same expression as before.
"I'm sorry Olivia but like I said it be over fast and besides my meeting is starting
tall of a sudden there was a very bright light illuminating the whole restaurant a horrible screeching noise fills the restaurant, people begin screaming in agony. Some curse some beg but in the end it's doesn't matter
"make it stop!, Makita it stop!."
"What the fuck, it feels like my head is going to explode."
"What's happening ."
Everyone continues to cry in pain some glass begin to explode.. finally unable to bear it any longer the measley humans body gave out fire butts out of Thier eyes leaving Thier eye sockets burnt out.
All except the man finishing his pie. After looking around he see Olivia on the ground meeting the same fate as everyone else. The light finally dies down. The ground stops shaking the wind stops and the thunder dies down.
After finishing his pie the man set his fork down reach for his water only to see it exploded as well. Shame
Looking up from his seat. He sees his friend in all his glory that only very few can see.
"Hello voth it's been awhile."
The angelic begin says nothing his wingspan is massive and he's as tall as a three story building all his eye stare at him.
