"Finally!" Me Tia and Emily are laughing at prom. Emily wore black, Tia wore Blue, and I wore pink. All our dresses matched styles though. We giggled and smiled taking photos. A young man, he went to our school for this semester his name was Jayden, he came up to me and started to flirt. I looked down at my feet and back away "No thank you." He walked away annoyed and I looked back at Emily giggling. We danced the night away. I was so happy. As the night ended we all walked out waiting for our parents. Emily was gone first. Then Tia was gone. I was outside alone for two hours, when Jayden came to me. "Hey gorgeous you alright?" he asks. I nod "Yeah just waiting my mom should be here any minute." I lie. He seems annoyed by my rejection and attempts to flirt again. I roll my eyes and start walking home. I sigh softly, agitated but he follows. "I can give you a ride home." I look at him. "No funny business?" I ask. He nods and I get in the car. "My mom put a tracker in my neck when I was little so don't try anything dumb." He drives off and I tell him where to go. We sit there listening to music and when I get home I smile. "Thanks" I give an awkward smile and go straight to my room. I change out of my dress and put on some black sweats and a tank top. Immediately I sneak out the window to Emily's house and I go in through the window. I see she's not in there so I wait in our usual hiding spot.

She comes in and we both open beers and talk for a bit. "He was so dumb!" I giggle softly. "He was, but this guy was far worse." She points to a guy in the yearbook and I laugh harder "What?! Troy wasn't that stupid. He just hated being put on the spot." We both laugh again. "Okay but Teddy was a man whore." Emily says. "No he was just mad he couldn't have Tia or me." she pushes me slightly and I shove her back till we both fall and laugh staring at the ceiling. "I can't believe you're going to Yale." I chuckle. "You're going to Harvard." She replies. I sigh my giggling faltering. "Best friends forever right?" I look up at Emily seeking comfort. She nods and we share a smile holding pinkies.

"Okay pack a bag with snacks and beer we're going out." I say giggling again. She grabs the bag packing it and I grab my stuff. We climb the tree and go around back sneaking to the park. We go sit on the swings sipping the beers. "So tell me Emi, dating any hot guys?" She chuckles and shakes her head. "I'm gay..." She whispers so quietly I almost don't even hear it. "Wait what-" I falter. There's no way we both turned out gay. "I'm gay." She says a little louder. I chuckle and sip my beer, "Glad we're in the same boat." I take a bigger chug this time and she looks at me. "Really?" I nod and put down my beer. "Wanna play tag? One last childhood memory before we're officially adults." She nods and I get up running from her. I trip over something and fall. I turn over and she trips over it too. "you okay?" She asks leaning on me. I nod and her lips press against mine before I can do or say anything else. I smile into the kiss and pull her in. The kiss only lasts a moment more before she's running from me. I chase her around the park and tap her right shoulder and place my head on her left. "Wanna make flower crowns?" I offer.

We start picking daises and making flower crowns for each other. I make them slowly and start to falter a bit when I hear cars. "It's 6am." I mutter. I softly place my hands on either side of her head, then turn her head to where the sky is starting to turn pink. As we make flower crowns in silence we watch the sunrise happier than we've ever been before. I place mine on Emily's head and she puts hers on me. I smile softly and kiss her again. We stay locked in that moment for what feels like forever. I pull out my camera and hold it up taking two photos of our kiss. and then two of us smiling into the camera. I take a few of the sunrise, and one of Emily with a butterfly on her finger. I hand her one of us kissing and one of us smiling at the camera, but the other four I'll hold onto for the rest of my life. Emily and I rest our heads together and then I turn to her and kiss her again just one short small kiss when I hear a loud shriek. "Esmeray Smith get your filthy paws off my daughter!" I look at Miss Prentiss and put Emily's photo's in her back pocket and the flower crown in her bag. I watch her run off and I lay in the grass silently. I'll never see her again, I think to myself over and over again when I walk home.

By the 7:30 AM news as I was leaving for school the news had stated that I kidnapped and forced myself on a U.S. diplomat's daughter by the name of Emily Prentiss. Rage soared through me. "Watch out for this evil child." Emily's mother's voice rang through my head and the second I opened the door camera's were pointed at me. Jayden pulled up and told me to get in. I nodded and dropped my bag on the floor of the car and buckled up. "I could've driven myself." I point out. "You don't wanna know what they did to your car." He says. I sigh, "I'm not gay." I point out. "And I didn't really kidnap her." He nods "my dad wants to talk to you." I stuff my face in the palm of my hands "he's a cop right?" He shrugs "he's pretty high rank. The deputy." I laugh a bit and go inside the police station when we get there.

I'm put in the interrogation room and Jayden's dad comes in. "So I'm just gonna ask you a few questions, all you have to do is answer honestly." I nod and he asks "So where are your parents?"

"Hawaii."

"How old are you?"

"17"

"What time did you and Emily meet up?"

"Around 12am."

"Where did you meet up?"

"There's a tree branch that goes straight up to her room, I'll climb it some nights when I wanna hang out and she will open the window."

"Were you drinking?"

"Yes"

"Did you threaten, or harm Emily in any form or way?"

"No."

"Did Emily reject or say no when you kissed her?"

"No."

"Did she at any point, make a move on you?"

"Yes"

"Thank you I'll be back in a bit if you don't mind waiting here." I nod and watch as he leaves. He lets Jayden in and I sigh "I'm not going to jail am I?" I whine softly but he just shrugs and says "well they don't really have anything to charge you with. They can't charge you for kidnapping because Emily left with you willingly. However my dad is gonna kill me cause I'm a witness." I raise a brow "how?" He sighs. "I saw you leave when I was driving away and I followed you. I saw the whole thing. My dad is pissed." I laugh a bit and smile "Jayden you are my hero." He nods and his dad walks in. "Alright, there's nothing wrong that I can see here. You're free to go." I smile and walk out and see Emily. Her face is red and she's been crying for hours. Jayden puts a hand on my shoulder and I walk out with him.

I walk into the school and go up to Tia. "What the hell is going on?" She asks. I sigh "Emily and I stayed out last night and her mom saw me kiss her. I just left the police station they said they can't see anything wrong with the situation. Thank god for Jayden." I feel a tear slip. "I really liked her." I say. Tia nods rubbing my back and Jayden comes up to us. "Okay my dad is having all this wiped from your records." I smile and thank Jayden and he chuckles "glad we made it back in time to ditch one last class." I laugh and nod and Emily comes up to us. "Esmeray I-" Tia and Jayden scowl at her and a tear slips from my eye as the two pull me away. "She told the cops you kidnapped her." Jayden says. I feel more tears slipping and I start to cry as we walk.

Emily's pov:

My heart nearly breaks through my rib cage when I hear my moms voice and the perfect world I was in vanishes right before my eyes. I know I was wrong for being into girls but I don't think I can control it. My mother drags me inside the house and I attempt to swallow the fear rising. She screams and shouts and all I wanna do is scream back. I can hear her but her words sound like gibberish with my thoughts burning into my brain.

She made one phone call while I was getting dressed and immediately I knew she was going to tell the world. My heart shattered in my chest and I fall to my knees, knowing that this would be hell. I needed to say something, anything. I needed to make her stop but I was frozen on the hard wood floor of my bedroom. I stare into the mirror across from me and I hate myself. The way I look, how I can't stand up to my mom, I hate that I just cant move. "Emily you have ten minutes!" I see my mom open the door through my teary eyes and I just look up at her "mom.." it's the only word I can force out. The way she looked at me hurt. Like I was broken, dirty. She tosses my clothes to the floor in front of me and leaves the room. It takes me a cold 30 minutes before I can get dressed and all I can hear is her screaming.
