Jungkook's pov

I nodded, "Yeah. Do you know how I wrote the song? I had just had a massive fight with my best friend. We both said some really mean things. It was about me leaving my home, and going to a strange city with dreams of no concrete foundations. He was worried about me, trying to stop me from going, but I fought with him. I was sitting in my bedroom, sobbing my eyes out when the song came to me. During our argument, he had said, 'What if the outcome is not what you are imagining?' and the song came to me. About the climb. Not the outcome."

Taehyung stared at me, his eyes widening, and his mouth hanging open. After a few seconds, he snapped back to reality and exclaimed, "That is absolutely amazing! You really are so talented!"

I giggled, my face flushing bright red at the compliment. While I was still giggling, my phone rang, interrupting our conversation. Glancing at the contact name, my eyes widened. I quickly picked up the phone and answered, "Hello, Kat."

She immediately started yelling on the line, "Jeon Jungkook! Where the heck are you? I leave you alone for one evening, and you're missing the next day! Where are you? You're not in your house! Are you with someone? Did you hook up with someone? I've always told you to text me before you hook up with someone, or even after! I should know your whereabouts 24/7! Where are you right now?!"

I answered, "Calm down first, Kat. I am safe."

She let out a sigh and asked, "Where are you?"

I replied, "I am at Taehyung Hyung's house."

She let out a squeal, "Taehyung Hyung? As in Kim Taehyung? The actor? The person we talked about just yesterday? Did you hook up with him? Damn, you are fast... I thought you'd be too shy to approach him, but you directly hooked up with him! Impressive."

I panicked and turned to see if Taehyung had heard the conversation, only to find him laughing, thoroughly amused. Oh my god! This is so embarrassing! I replied to Katlyn in an embarrassed voice, "Kat! I didn't hook up with him. I just drank too much and passed out, so he took me to his house as he didn't know the password of mine."

Katlyn continued, her tone shifting from panic to playful teasing, "Oh, come on, Jungkook! Don't be coy with me. You spend one night at Kim Gorgeous Taehyung's house, and suddenly you're playing the 'I didn't hook up' card? I know you better than that! Spill the details. What happened?"

I rolled my eyes, "Kat, seriously, nothing happened. Taehyung was just being a good friend and helped me out. There's no scandalous story here, I promise."

Taehyung, still chuckling, handed me a glass of water as if sensing my discomfort. I took a sip, trying to shush Katlyn on the phone discreetly. It was already embarrassing enough without her adding fuel to the imaginary fire.

Katlyn persisted, "Okay, okay, fine. I'll stop teasing you. But you owe me all the details later, got it?"

I sighed, "Yeah, yeah, I'll tell you everything later. Now, stop making assumptions and let me survive this morning."

She laughed, "Alright, Kook. I'm coming to pick you up in 15 minutes. We have to go to the studio directly after that. We don't have time for you to come home. I'm bringing a change of clothes."

I chuckled, "Sure, Kat. Thanks, Bye." Ending the call, I felt a mix of relief and lingering embarrassment. Taehyung, still grinning, remarked, "Your manager seems like a handful."

I nodded, "You have no idea."

Taehyung suddenly smirked and walked close to me, standing just a few inches away. His eyes sparkled mischievously as he asked, "Do you really want to hook up with me?"

Blush adorned my cheeks, and I stammered, trying to come up with a coherent response, my mind going to unholy places, "N-no, it was just... It was... I didn't... say that."

Taehyung maintained his playful smirk, "Really? Because I just heard your manager say that you told her you wanted to sleep with me."

I felt my face heat up even more, and I muttered, "She misunderstood! It's not what it sounds like!"

Taehyung chuckled, clearly enjoying the situation, "Relax, Kook. I was just teasing. Your reactions are adorable, though."

I glared at him, playfully hitting him, still flustered," Shut up!"

Taehyung laughed heartily, the sound resonating in the room, and playfully hit me back, adding a light and friendly atmosphere to our banter. "Shut up!" I retorted with a mock glare, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement at the playful exchange.

With a mischievous glint in his eyes, Taehyung took a few steps back, creating a bit more space between us. I couldn't help but notice the lingering warmth on my cheeks, a testament to the effect his teasing had on me. As he observed my reactions, I found myself caught between the friendly banter and an unexplainable desire for the closeness we had shared just moments ago. My internal scolding intensified – Jungkook, focus! This was not the time to let my mind wander into unnecessary territories.

Taehyung and I settled back on the couch, continuing our conversation when the doorbell rang. Taehyung, being the gracious host, walked over to open the door, revealing Kat standing on the other side. A warm smile adorned her face as she entered the room, acknowledging Taehyung's presence with a nod of gratitude.

Katlyn, with an air of exaggerated concern, grabbed my shoulders and tilted my head, inspecting my neck as if she were a detective on a crucial case. I couldn't help but chuckle at her theatrical antics. I questioned her, "What are you doing?"

She responded with mock seriousness, "Checking for hickies. I swear, Jungkook, if I find a single hickey that could be seen by the public, I will kill you."

Katlyn, with her usual dramatic flair, turned to Taehyung and questioned, "Taehyung, you guys really didn't hook up?"

Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle at her intensity, answering in a light-hearted tone, "No, we didn't. He was too drunk and passed out on me, so I brought him here."

Her eyes widened, and she sighed dramatically, "You guys are so boring. I was looking forward to lots of tea!" The disappointment in her voice was palpable, as if the lack of scandalous details had robbed her of some thrilling gossip. Taehyung and I exchanged amused glances, sharing a silent acknowledgment of the unexpected turn of events.

I shot her a playful glare, "If you want tea, go to the tea factory! Stop embarrassing me in front of people!"

Katlyn laughed, seemingly unfazed, "Oh, come on! You yourself said you and Taehyung are friends now, so he doesn't count as people." Her laughter echoed in the room, creating a light-hearted atmosphere. I couldn't help but shake my head at her persistent pursuit of amusement from our supposedly scandalous night.

Taehyung, standing beside me, joined in the laughter, clearly finding the situation amusing. Despite my attempts to assure Katlyn that nothing happened between us, she continued to tease, adding an unexpected layer of humor to the morning's events.

she turned to me, " Anyways, here. Take this outfit and change into it. we have to go"

I nodded, grateful for the diversion. I walked to Taehyung's room, which was the only room in the house I knew. The door creaked open, revealing a neatly organized space with a hint of Taehyung's personality. I quickly changed into the outfit Katlyn had brought, appreciating the fresh clothes after the night's adventures.
