The next day Noodle refused to stay in the laundry because she claimed that she felt better, and even though Wonka still saw her as somewhat downcast, he agreed to go out to sell chocolates that day

The group hid in the laundry bags on top of the cart, with Noodle taking them outside while Mrs. Scrubbit and Bleacher were on one of their many dates, completely distracted. The girl dragged the cart over the small bridge near the laundry, walking towards a secluded alley

"Really, don't you think it's too hasty for your to go outside?" Wonka asked from inside one of the bags

"Well, you know what they say about children, not even they can fight their own hyperactivity" Larry giggled

"Don't exaggerate, dad, I'm okay now" Noodle said, stopping from dragging the laundry cart

The young chocolatier came out of hiding "Yesterday you couldn't even wake up" he muttered

"Yes, that was yesterday, dad, stop worrying" she looked everywhere

"I think you should listen to him, Noodle" Abacus said

"Forget about that, I'm fine!" the girl narrowed her eyes, annoyed

"Okay, sweetie, if you say so, I believe you... just let me know if you feel bad" Wonka spoke softly "I guess it's time to sell chocolate" added

"Wait, dad!" Noodle hastened to say, catching the chocolatier's attention "Today you don't need to sell chocolate"

"...Why not?" he questioned

"Do you remember that shop you wanted to have?" Noodle questioned, slowly taking a key out of her pocket

Wonka's eyes widened, smiling in surprise "...How-? Oh, that's my girl!" he got out of the cart and hugged Noodle

The others giggled happily, emerging from the bags in which they were hidden. Apparently this had not been just Noodle's plan

They guided the young chocolatier to the Gourmet Galleries, stopping in front of the empty shop. Wonka stepped forward, taking the key the girl had given him to open the door, slowly pushing it open to see inside

The building was in notable disrepair, with dust on the walls and a large amount of rubble spread across the floor. They passed inside looking at the ruined place

"It may need maintenance, but it could be enough for us, at least for a week" Abacus muttered

"I don't think it will be long before this ends collapsing" Piper added

"Now the Chocolate Cartel can't do anything to us!" Lottie said happily

"What do you think, dad?" Noodle asked "Is it how you imagined it?"

Wonka turned to see her "Well, it's better than I imagined... no! Forget that! It's better than I imagined" he exclaimed with a smile "I mean, it's need some work, but we've got this!"

The group smiled at the young chocolatier's enthusiasm

"It won't be long until your life changes, sweetie!" Wonka said "I promise you, this will be the biggest chocolate shop the world has ever seen!"

Noodle giggled, happily ran to where Willy was, hugging each other

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Larry exclaimed "Let's get to work!"

The group stayed cleaning the place throughout the day, removing debris and dust from the walls

When night came, after finishing all the work in the new shop, they returned to the laundry, coming out of one of the sewers that was in an alley, without account the fact that they were being watched by Mr. Slugworth, Mr. Prodnose and Mr. Fickelgruber

"They're six, including the girl" the police chief explained "I think she's the brain behind the operation" added "They're all working at the laundry for Mrs. Scrubbit's"

"Mrs. Scrubbit's?" Slugworth questioned

"Yeah, do you know her?" The chief of police tilted his head, confused

"Yeah, I know her..." he watched as Willy helped Noodle out of the sewer, ruffling her hair playfully

"They just rented a store, so legally I can't do anything to them, but illegally I can do whatever you want, do you want them to suffer accidents?" the chief asked

"In which they'll die" Mr. Prodnose added

"No problem, but it will cost you more boxes of chocolates" the chief muttered

"I understand" Mr. Slugworth gave him a box of chocolate "That's a small preview, don't do anything for now, I'll let you know when it's time"

The chief of police nodded, leaving the place. Mr. Slugworth looked down the alley again, seeing the girl dragging the laundry cart

"What's wrong, Arthur?" Mr. Fickelgruber asked

"The girl" Mr. Slugworth muttered

"You always told us that she wouldn't cause problems" Mr. Fickegruber said

"It's true, you promised us" Mr. Prodnose added

"And she won't cause any problems, neither will Wonka, I'm going to take care of that personally" Mr. Slugworth assured

Mr. Slugworth walked towards the laundry, knocking on the door

Mrs. Scrubbit opened the door, spreading an exaggerated smile when she realized who it was "Oh, Mr. Slugworth, evening!"

"Evening" he said "I thought it was right to let you know that one of your workers was sneaking out all this time, the girl helps him" Mr. Slugworth explained

"Nosy girl!" Mrs. Scrubbit muttered, annoyed

"Yes, I agree, I was wondering if you could help me put an end to all this"
