"I will totally let her go. She can do some serious damage."
Walking into class that day, Maggie wasn't sure how to feel. She'd spent the night restless in bed, playing back the conversation that she had with Sam, going over all of the possibilities in her head.
On one hand, she could give into Sam's words, telling him she felt the same way, but with that, she would be betraying a sweet girl who was one of her closest friends, and on the other hand, she could stay true to her friend and hope that, with time, Sam will eventually make his way back to her.
This might be the hardest decision of her life.
She sat down beside Santana in the back row, a sad look on her face.
"What?" Santana immediately took note of the girl's lack of her usual happy self "Who was it? I'll hurt them."
"Relax, Tana," Maggie told her "It's nothing, just... a bad history test."
"Okay, first of all, I know you're lying." Santana caught on "Your history class is after glee club today. Second of all, you don't have to tell me right now, but you better believe I'll figure it out eventually."
"Oh, I believe it." Maggie let out a laugh, happy that Santana knew how to cheer her up.
Her face dropped again as soon as she saw Sam and Quinn walk in together, hand in hand. Sam looked away from his girlfriend, glancing up at Maggie, before smiling back at something Quinn had said. They took a seat in the front corner, away from where Maggie and Santana was sat.
Being as observant as she was, Santana watched the whole interaction, making a mental note. She decided that whatever it was must not be easy to talk about, but she was slowly formulating a plan in her head.
"All right, guys, um...Time to start thinking about song selections." Mr Shue told the class, slowly.
He turned around, blankly scanning the class.
"Mr Shue, are you alright?" Maggie asked her teacher, taking note of his pale face.
"Um... I think I'm gonna go see the nurse. But first I feel like I should get you guys a sitter."
Rachel immediately stood up, taking charge. "Class, in Mr. Schuester's absence, I'd like to go around and ask everyone what solos they'd like to hear me perform at sectionals."
"All right, you know what? Let me at her!" Santana jolted up, yelling at the girl in front of her. "¡Tú eres loca!"

"I'm shaking," Kurt stated, holding his hand out to show Maggie and Mercedes the state of them. "And it's either from low blood sugar or rage. I knew it was only a matter of time before Rachel tried to take over the Glee Club."
