Jayson Tatum & Zach LaVine: The Spring Fling

Chapter One

September 2017,
Boston, MA
5:00pm,

Before the pregame starts,

Jayson met his teammates, Jaylen, Marcus, Al and the rest of the Celtics teammates who were at the practice before the pregame show. Although, he was unaware that he was going to meet someone from the different NBA team. In fact, Jayson was at the court watching his teammates play around so he decided to join them instead.

Jaylen Brown: is everything okay? You look like you've seen a ghost.

Jayson Tatum: no it's fine

Jaylen Brown: looks like you're seeing somebody.

Jayson Tatum: Jaylen shut up! 😂

Jaylen Brown: Just joking.

Jayson Tatum: Look, I'm not looking for a relationship ok?

Jaylen Brown: Okay.

Jayson was starting to become overwhelmed due to the fact that he had a previous relationship with Kyrie Irving on his Duke years. "Dude, Kyrie is an ass, you deserve better," Marcus Smart said. "Besides, it's a good thing you're not with him anymore," "I know that Marcus," He replied.

Jaylen Brown: if Kyrie were to come here, I'd tell him, if you ever hurt Jayson's feelings, you bet on your ass you won't have to worry about him because he's smart, he's loving, caring and kind.

Jayson Tatum: thanks bro, I really appreciate you taking the initiative about my heartbreak.

Jaylen Brown: Hey! That's what friends are for.

Marcus Smart: we're here for you Jayson. Who knows what would happen if you're planning to find a boyfriend girlfriend anyway?

Jayson Tatum: Yeah right! 😂

They continued the practice before the fans were coming to the game for the basketball game. Well it was preseason, so they have a lot to learn from when it comes to the NBA updates happening around the world. Jayson focused on himself and got the confidence back that he had when he started attending Duke University. His family couldn't be more proud of him knowing that he accomplished something like any NBA player would do. Everyone in the bench was cheering alongside the fans. Until he met a guy that would soon change his life and become his boyfriend.

It was halftime show as Jayson's teammates went to the locker room to do some of their stuff like doing make up and other things. Jayson Tatum stayed on the bench when he saw a guy that was walking to him. He had dark brown hair, light brown eyes and was standing at 6'5" even though Jayson is 3 inches taller than him. "Oh hello there, are you new here?" The man asked. "Yes I'm new here, I just moved to Boston couple weeks ago with my family. What are you doing here?" "Oh not much, I just want to get to know you. What's your name?" "I'm Jayson Christopher Tatum, you can call me Jayson," He introduced himself to the man.

"Zachary Thomas LaVine, you can call me Zach. Nice to meet you Jayson," He shook his hand. "It's nice to meet you too Zach," Zach sat on the bench next to Jayson even though he plays for Chicago Bulls.

Zach LaVine: so what brings you here?

Jayson Tatum: it's my first career as a Boston Celtics player.

Zach LaVine: I see.

Jayson Tatum: I know it sounds embarrassing, but I'm just getting over a breakup since Kyrie and I are no longer together. Besides, Lonzo is expecting a baby with him.

Zach LaVine: oh my, so sorry to hear that.

Jayson Tatum: That's okay Zach, I'm used to it.

Zach LaVine: you know Jayson, I was thinking if maybe we can get a chance to get to know each other.

Jayson Tatum: Yeah...

Zach LaVine: how about this? Are you free this weekend?

Jayson Tatum: yes, why?

Zach LaVine: do you want to go out and maybe set up a lunch date somewhere?

Jayson Tatum: sure.

Zach LaVine: Okay and then maybe next week, we can go out to dinner and watch a movie.

Jayson Tatum: that sounds good.

Zach LaVine: alright! Then it's settled.

Jayson Tatum: okay thanks Zach.

Zach LaVine: you're very welcome. I'll see you later then?

Jayson Tatum: Yep.

{ Time skip: end of the game }

The game ended as Jayson's teammates were heading home to their houses as Jayson was going to the parking lot to head home. Somehow, Zach LaVine came up to him when he was talking to him about the plans for meeting up. Did this mean Jayson would soon have a boyfriend? Only way to find out.

Zach LaVine: I know if you're not ready to start dating yet, but I understand if you want to give yourself some time.

Jayson Tatum: Thanks Zach.

Zach LaVine: you're welcome. Oh and don't forget, we have a date this week, so get ready.

Jayson Tatum: Okay.

Zach LaVine: I'll see you around then?

Jayson Tatum: Yep.

Jayson went in the car as Zach LaVine had some thoughts about Jayson Tatum.

Zach LaVine 💭: I can't wait to date him and be my girlfriend ❤️😍

*Tatum Residence*
9:00pm,

"Hi there Jayson, how was the game?" Mr. And Mrs. Tatum asked. "It's been great Mom and dad," "That's good and did you meet a guy?" "Ah yes, his name is Zach LaVine and he seems very kind," Jayson said. "That's good to hear, I'm sure we would love to get to know him," His parents told him. He hugged his parents and little brother before he went upstairs to bed.

~Jayson's Bedroom~

Jayson Tatum was on the bed watching TV when he got a text message from Zach LaVine.

To: Jayson Tatum,

I can sense that you were trying to get over a break up, but don't you worry. We have a date this week, so that way we can get to know each other. Anyways, have a good night and I'll see you around

Jayson Tatum's POV:

I met Zach LaVine at the TD Garden while I was there with my teammates. To be honest, he seems to be a very kind guy and he wanted me to hang out with him this weekend. I know for a fact that I'm not ready for a relationship. Although, it will be just fine. Don't tell mom and dad that I said that hahaha 😂.
