Chapter Two

Jayson's POV: Lunch date with Zach LaVine

4 days later,

Boston, MA,
10:00am,

"Jayson, can you hurry up? You're going to be late for your lunch date with the guy," Jaycob shouted from the room. "Jaycob, can you please give me at least 15 minutes? I need to put on my jeans and T-shirt," "Yeah yeah you took forever," His little brother said. "Damn it! I don't know what to wear, oh wait! My mother gave me this dress," He put on his mother's dress and headed downstairs.

Jayson Tatum: eww don't tell me I look like a fool in this dress!

Jaycob Tatum: oh snap out of it.

Jayson Tatum: yeah! Yeah! I'm sorry.

Jaycob Tatum: that's alright.

The doorbell rings as he opens the door. "Oh hi Zach," Jayson Tatum greeted him. "Hey there Jayson, you look gorgeous. Where did you buy the dress from?" "Macy's," He said.

Mrs. Tatum: who's that?

Jayson Tatum: actually this is Zach LaVine Mom.

Mrs. Tatum: Oh okay, hi I'm Brandy

Mr. Tatum: Justin. Nice to meet you.

Jaycob Tatum: I'm Jaycob.

Zach LaVine: nice to meet you all.

Mrs. Tatum: didn't know you met my son.

Zach LaVine: yep but I think I want to get to know him better.

Mrs. Tatum: that's good because one day he will be your wife one day.

Jayson Tatum: Mom stop 😂

Mrs. Tatum: I'm serious Jayson. If you were to be a mom, you would know what it's like to experience your time to be a mother someday.

Jayson Tatum: oh haha! That won't happen.

Mrs. Tatum: Alright! You two run along.

They went on a car ride together when Jayson and Zach were listening together. Somehow, he noticed that there was a red stain on the front seat.

Jayson Tatum: oh great! What the heck?

Zach LaVine: what's the matter Jay?

Jayson Tatum: has anyone have any extra pants I can borrow?

Zach LaVine: what happened?

Jayson Tatum: Don't want to say this, but I'm on my period.

Zach LaVine: really? How did it happen?

Jayson Tatum: don't ask. It happened a couple of times when I go to the practice and all I did was that I bled on my Boston Celtics shorts.

Zach LaVine: it's normal Jayson. It can happen anytime.

Jayson Tatum: yeah tell me the reason why most NBA players think they can be so wrong about the way around.

Zach LaVine: don't worry about it. I'll take your dress to the laundromat and you can borrow some of my clothes and also, I'll pay for your Sanitary items.

Jayson Tatum: thanks Zach, you didn't need to do that.

Zach LaVine: it's okay Jayson, let it be.

Jayson Tatum's POV:

I had to admit it was embarrassing that the seat was so red haha. Well in case you're wondering how this happened. Apparently, I started my period last couple of weeks or so and what happened was that I was at the practice when Jaylen Brown noticed the stain on my Boston Celtics shorts. Yeah, that was gross and humiliating 🙃🙃. In fact, Zach LaVine wasn't even upset and he didn't seem to be bothered about the period thing. Not only that, I took the dress to the dry cleaners and then he took me to his place to get cleaned up and dressed for the lunch date. Man! That's how a gentleman he will be and who knows if I'm going to be his wife someday.

Next, they went out to the restaurant as Jayson apologized to Zach for the mood changes. "First of all, I wanted to apologize for the way I acted when my period started. I guess it's just me all along," "Hey it's okay, you have nothing to worry about Jayson. Besides, not only do I take your dress to the laundromat, I included your Boston Celtics shorts that has red stain in it," Zach said smiling. "And I told your mom about it and she said it was fine, I'll pay for your sanitary items," They continued eating together and went to walk around the mall before they picked up Jayson's clothes from the Laundromat. Although, it was a wonderful day for the two men.

*Jayson Tatum's bedroom*
3:00pm,

Mrs. Tatum enters the bedroom when she asked how the day went. "So I heard you and Zach had been talking and then having so much fun," "Actually Mom, it's not so bad," Jayson smiled. "You know, Zach took my dress and the Boston Celtics shorts to the laundromat and then paid for the sanitary pads," "That's a very generous thing that he did," She nodded.

Jayson Tatum: Sorry if I didn't tell you that I was on my period. I should've asked you to buy pads

Mrs. Tatum: Jayson relax, it's fine. At least you knew something was up.

Jayson Tatum: oh okay.

Mrs. Tatum: I'll go to Costco for food shopping. Is anything else you need?

Jayson Tatum: Mom, can you buy two boxes of pads for me please?

Mrs. Tatum: Absolutely!

Jayson Tatum: thanks mom.

Mrs. Tatum: No problem.
