"honey, I'm home" he said, but no one heard him.

He sighed deeply. His romantic partner had promised to return early to spend time together instead of drinking.

Did he fulfill it?

He didn't know it.

The sheets fluttered constantly due to the wind coming through the window, as Anthony lay on the bed and asked himself, "Where are you?"

He knew it very well, Husker was a gambling guy. He arrived at any time, but that day he was supposed to arrive on time.
The clock was ticking, while the tallest one continued waiting for him. "What did I do wrong?" "Has something happened to him?" was spinning through Anthony's head, what had happened to his beloved Husk? He didn't understand it. Had he walked away? He would not go back?
Anthony got out of bed in pain and then headed to the kitchen. He grabbed a bottle of alcohol and started drinking like there was no tomorrow. "Fuck the promise," he muttered and then continued drinking. He wanted to relax in some way, just like Husker did, by drinking. That was his solution until he came back.
Drink after drink, he became more and more dizzy. But it wasn't enough.
He needed something strong, something like drugs..
He headed out of his house with the intention of looking for something to get high, a club or something.
So he decided to just go to a bar, clearly, with cocaine and stuff....

Anthony snorted the powder on his bar for the tenth time while the other 3 drinkers laughed and talked to him "Ha! You should have seen that bitch" one muttered as they continued laughing, but Anthony couldn't take it anymore.

He headed home again to call Husk, or at least see if he had returned.
He hugged himself as he walked through the rainy and dirty streets. "Go back home," Anthony muttered to himself as he passed through a chaotic neighborhood and bottles of alcohol were thrown at him. "Move, you idiot!" A drunk shouted at him, so he quickened his pace.
Once he got home he quickly went to the phone to call him.

Ring, ring...

But he didn't answer.

He was already starting to worry, this was news to him, he looked at the clock. "2:30" he whispered and then headed to the room, but as soon as he opened the door.

The telephone rang?

Anthony went down the stairs quickly and then answered. "Hello darling?" He said excitedly, waiting for a response, but it wasn't what he expected.
"Are you related to or related to Mr. Husker?"

"I'm his partner... Did something happen?" Anthony said nervously, trying not to stutter.

"I'm sorry."

As soon as Anthony heard those words, he was stunned. The phone fell from his hand to the ground and he left the house quickly heading towards the hospital.

He ran tirelessly through the streets while water from the puddles splashed on his feet, pushed all the doctors out of his way earning a dirty look from them and ran towards Husker's stretcher and then kissed his corpse while tears fell from his cheeks uncontrollably.

Too bad he got so high a while ago.

Anthony fell to the ground without strength, leaving his corpse next to that of his faithful partner, dying together. Just as he promised.

Some time had passed since that event, while Anthony, now Angel, was heading to a redemption hotel after joining the idea of two girls, Charlie and Vaggie.
The radio demon, Alastor, had brought a friend of his to the hotel to be the bartender. Ángel was interested in going there to drink, but when he looked up, he saw it.

He recognized that bitter expression and addiction to alcohol.
"I lost the ability to love years ago"
That voice was unforgettable for him, it was impossible not to recognize it.

"Anthony?" The cat exclaimed in surprise, receiving a quick response from Angel.

"Husker."
