Royal Wing

Chapter One

The Queen had just informed me we were bringing in Alpha's from across the land to help figure out how we are going to stop the wolves of hell (as we refer to them) from purging the land. The Wolves of Hell believed in voodoo magic and freakish beliefs they purge the land of those who don't join them and they were marching on the capital as the queens General and General of the Sun Streak pack the royal pack it was my responsibility to stop them from infiltrating the walls and keeping order within the pack as well as the politcis.

I had been trained by the last General Crescent after being rescued from the ruins of my old pack the Night Bringers. It had taken a long time for me to trust them and finally give them my name 'Seraphina' .I tend to avert my thoughts from the horrors of that night but sometimes they seep through the wall in my mind I built to protect myself from them nightmares.

The word from the queen had just arrived telling me to bring the Alpha's to her palace. So here I am trekking to go follow her orders and go fetch the pompous asses. This was definitely my least favourite  part of the Job the god damm politcis are so boring and I can't even fall asleep in them because I'm on guard.

I stopped at the looming gate in front of me and pulled the string down using my teeth I rarely turned into my human form  except for the queen.

I let out a growl silencing the bickering alpha's and yipped to one of the tour guides to join me. She hurriedly rushed over and ignoring the alpha's kneeled to me. The Alpha's looked at me confused. I ignore them and reached out a claw to tap her on the shoulder it indicating she should rise. She followed my command and bowed to the Alpha's. "Good Morning Alpha's I am Rosemary and I am your guide of Sun Streak territory today."

They nodded approval to her but a young alpha with curly blond hair spoke to her in a firm voice "and who is the wolf you kneeled to" he politely asks.

I flick my ear in curiosity and boredom always this goddam question. "She is your guard" Rosemary responds tensely.

"Does she have a human form or is she mute" asks a new appointed alpha who by the looks of it is full of himself.

I snort and they all turn their gaze on me I flicked my ear at Rosemary for her to answer. "She is neither Alpha she just prefers to keep quiet and I assure is the most dangerous of the guards out here." Rosemary says defensively. I put my nose to her hand in thanks and then backed up two steps  to get a better look at the group. I spot some royal guards easily spot my their large frames and menacing scowls they were looking me up and down confused and maybe interested hard to tell with them. By the look of them they are the northern guard with navy blue colours on their chest plate and swords strapped to the thigh. Before they respond I let out a growl and flicked my head forwards indicating for them to start walking.

Rosemary started with the Alpha's following behind while keeping a suspicious filled eye on me and kept asking questions to rosemary. 

"Does she have a name" one asks

"Not one that needs your concern" Rosemary responds but quickly amends with "she used to be known as The She Devil you can call her that"

"Are you sure we don't need some more wolves one seems a bit less than expected." another asks.

"Trust me she will protect us with her life" Rosemary says with awe.

"What makes you so  protective of this wolf" the Royal Prince of the North asks. I stiffen he is the most dangerous in this group I turn my head to look at him he has Black soft hair that is long and straight it didn't go further then the back of his neck and he had emerald green eyes he was handsome and I knew he was also a play boy. I could sense it from him I  crinkled my nose in disgust. When he flashed me a charming smile that I knew he used to get into woman's pants. I took a look over his frame he was lean and muscular with veins in his arms and copper skin and odd mix but never the less attractive  I slowly turned my head away to antagonise him and looked towards his guard. He was muscular and tall with copper skin and brown hair with auburn eyes I nodded at him and continued on my patrolling.

"She saved me and my family's life once and got injured in the process but she still fought us out and when I fell she jumped in front of a wolf's jaws to save me and then she ran and got us and my family out. No wolfs died that day because of her she jumped back in protecting the guards even when injured an injury that seriously hindered her and put her at risk of dying or by messing up and dying by the enemies jaws. She and the guards killed all of the wolfs that attacked us with no fatal injuries except for hers" Rosemary says with such love in her voice I bump her leg with my nose and she strokes my head before I carry on the guarding.

"Why does she not talk" asks another alpha after recovering from the shock of the story "and  would she talk for us if we ask her to?"

"you will have to ask the queen to ask her to " Rosemary responds.

"Is she-

I growl cutting them off all eyes land on me. I lift my nose to the air and sniff I knew something felt off we  were being followed. I  snarl stalking towards the Alpha's then leap over their heads and collide with a Hell Wolf that had just been about to attack an Alpha.

We tumbled to the ground and leaped of each other I growl at them baring all my teeth they leap at me I jump out the way and then back into them once they landed forcing them to roll and pinned them on their back I put a paw on their neck and  a paw on their stomach. Halting all movement.

I snarl and let my eyes turn red staring into the wolfs pitch black irises. It let out a whimper and tried to cower in fear. I tilted my head and as quick as a viper struck my teeth into it's neck and bit down breaking the wolfs neck. I made my eyes turn back to their normal silver blue before turning towards the Alpha's. I threw the wolf down at their feet.  We were on the outer layers of the wall and not fully into the packs territory yet it was still concerning.

I tipped my head back and howled a long strong howl with an underlying bit of warning so the pack knows and the queen can send out warriors to investigate.

All the Alpha's stared at me they were impressed I could smell it maybe a bit of confusion and awe in there to. I looked at Rosemary and tipped my nose to smell the air again I smelled a few forest scents mostly deer but I was also upwind so it would be harder to smell anything noticeable. I nodded my head at her and started circling the group again. I still feel on edge though something was going to happen I felt it in my bones and that made me antsy.

"Wow" a random alpha states " that's quite an impressive kill"

"Not her most impressive" says rosemary flatly.

A few of the Alpha's eyebrows rise at that. I snorted and tipped my head should I talk or should I wait. I bare my teeth in a grin I should definitely wait.

"What is that expression for She Devil I don't like it what are you planning" Rosemary asks with a concerned frown. All I do is bare my teeth some more  and tilt my head in an innocent matter. "your trouble" she frowns "you know that right?". I tilt my head mockingly.
