"I'll go collect the swab from the doctor. You guys stay in the car", Alonzo says as he walks out of the parking lot towards the entrance of the hospital.

Alonzo walks back out after a few minutes with a bag in his hand.

"I got a few of the stuff I needed for the test and the swab", Alonzo says as he joins us in the back of the car while Nic and Fabi sit in the front.

"How long will it take to get the results?", I ask.

"About an hour", Alonzo answers.

"Good, then after the test comes back we'll meet Mrs Ackerman one final time and tell her the results of the test and if it's negative we'll stay at the hotel overnight and go back home tomorrow and if it's positive... we'll figure it out", Elijah says.

We arrive back at the hotel and Alonzo quickly takes a swab of my mouth before starting the testing process with some medical stuff.

I go to the bathroom and decide to take a shower to clear my thoughts.

It doesn't work and 40 minutes later, I step out of the shower, and get dressed, walking into the shared suite to see Elijah lounging on the bed and Alonzo doing some stuff at the table but what surprises me is that there's three of the test things.

Why is he doing three tests?

"Why are you doing three tests?", I ask Alonzo, who's concentrating on pouring a liquid into something using a syringe.

"So that if it comes back positive, you can't say it's a mistake since the probability of three false positives is basically impossible", Alonzo replies.

That's actually quite clever and saves time since if it comes back positive I would probably demand another test.

"Did you see her at the hospital?", I ask Alonzo.

"Amadea?", he questions.

"Yes, who else would I be talking about?", I ask exasperated.

"I dunno. A secret girlfriend maybe?", Alonzo attempts to joke but it falls flat since I'm not in the mood for laughing right now.

"Be serious", I snap.

"No, I didn't see her. I just met the lab assistant who has all the samples. Why? Did you want me to check on her?", Alonzo asks.

"No, it's fine. The test done yet?", I ask.

"The tests and no they need another 10 minutes", Alonzo corrects me.

I sigh as i reach for my phone that I left on the nightstand and call Matteo.

"Sandro, so do you have a daughter or not?", Matteo asks.

"I don't know we're doing the test right now. We'll have the results in 10 minutes. I'll call you after. Are the girls back from shopping yet?", I question.

"Oh, you should've seen them. Bianca's brought enough maternity clothes to last her even if she stays pregnant all her life", Matteo replies with a chuckle and I smile at the though of my pregnant sister in law whose already started buying customised onesies for the baby.

"I've got the results", Alonzo shouts.

"Got to go. I'll call you later", I say before hanging up and walking back to our shared suite where Alonzo stands with the three tests.
