•FIVE MINUTES PRIOR•
•Bucky's POV•"SOMEONE HELP!" The bellow immediately alerted Bucky and Sam who were previously on another mission. "Aw come on, really?" Sam sighed in annoyance, and Bucky rolled his eyes. "Come on Sam, I-"
Sounds of webs began getting louder as the duo looked up. Bucky's eyes narrowed as he saw Spiderman, he remembered that kid from the airport back in Germany, was he going to find the scream as well?
"Not that spider thing," Sam spat, and Bucky just remained silent, watching Spiderman in case he could follow him.
"Redwing, engage." Sam ordered, and Buckys frown deepened as he turned around to give Sam a confused stare. "What are you doing-" Yet Redwing already lifted off Sam's back, flying quickly and slicing a web that Spiderman shot, then came a loud thud. Sam snorted, gazing at Bucky with a smug smile on his face. Bucky stared at Sam blankly, then shoved his hands in the pockets of his hoodie as he turned and walked over to Spiderman. He crouched down in front of the kid, studying his mask, attempting to figure out what was going on beneath it. The kid's light grunts in pain made Buckys eyes narrow, and he took off his hood.
•PRESENT TIME•
His question met a blank stare and a silent reply, Bucky's gaze sweeping over Peters face. Peter yanked off his mask, puffing slightly as he looked up at Bucky, his brown hair disheveled and his skin pale, his freckles scattered along his cheeks. Steps from behind Bucky became louder and Sam stood beside him, chuckling in amusement at the kid's pain.
"Just a kid too? Geez, everyone's got damn superpowers now." Sam scoffed, and Peter diverted his gaze, causing Bucky to speak up. "You know the kid, Peter. The one who Tony was always overprotecting." Bucky gazed at Sam who gave him a confused expression, crossing his arms in front of his chest. How did Sam not remember? Sam would always make fun of Peter, it was odd that he didn't remember.
"I dunno what you're going on about, he's just that spider guy." Sam lifted his brow, gazing at Peter again. Peter lifted his head up, his gaze landing on Bucky then at Sam, then at Bucky again.
"You're not supposed to- to remember me." Peter said quietly, and Bucky's brow furrowed, his crouch shifting so his knee lay on the ground to support him. "I don't know what's going on but-""Bucky, we still have a mission to do, c'mon. Kid can take care of himself." Sam interrupted, gazing out the alleyway to the dark city ahead, it was mostly quiet, the light sway of the breeze and occasional cars driving past breaking that silence.
"No," Bucky replied blankly, observing Peter. He was way too pale, dark purple bags under his eyes.
Sam paused, turning to lift a brow at Bucky. "Since when did you start caring about people? Come on man." Sam sighed, and Bucky rolled his eyes, grabbing Peters hand to lift him up.
"I remember him. Peter Parker. I don't know why you don't." Bucky stated sternly, his narrowed eyes staying on Sam. Peter watched the argument, fidgeting with his fingers, his head turning to Bucky then Sam then vice versa."I don't know who this kid is, all I know is that he's Spiderman." Sam sighed again, throwing his hands up in the air dramatically and lifting his head back, done with the conversation.
"I'll just leave..." Peter muttered awkwardly, attempting to slide past Bucky. Buckys hand gripped Peters arm tightly, yet Bucky's gaze didn't move from Sam."Kid, stay."
(Hehe yes I did add a little snippet of Tony mwhahaha >:) I think I'll make another fanfic of like irondad, anyone have any ideas? 👀)
