On their way to the Well of Seas, Chelsea discovered Ruby's pet, Nessie, hiding inside Ruby's hair, and Ruby allowed Nessie to tag along with her and Chelsea. The trio arrived at a shipwreck graveyard. "What happened to all these ships?" Chelsea asked. "I don't know, but I'm not sticking around to find out," Said Ruby. Suddenly, Nessie heard a noise coming from inside the ship. "What's the matter, Nessie?" Chelsea asked. Nessie pointed to one of the ships, and Chelsea went to investigate. She found nothing, and as she was preparing to leave, something got a hold of Chelsea and wouldn't let her go. Nessie swam to her rescue and bit whatever was dragging her. The ship's floorboards started to crack, and out emerged the Grindylows! Chelsea grabbed Nessie and swam to warn Ruby. "Run!" Cried Chelsea. She and Nessie grabbed Ruby's arm and swam to get away from the Grindylows, but there were too many of them, and the Grindylows started biting and scratching Ruby painfully.
