                                                                                       Flynn

                                                                              —- ---------------- -—

Flynn was annoyed by the red-headed gremlin next to him. And, she constantly kept nagging him to move aside. He did eventually though, after he took a look at her. An annoying gremlin. He chuckled at his own thoughts. He stood there for a while, making sure not to be toppled over by the crowd.

He kept glancing at the little gremlin, making sure she didn't get toppled and buried under the crowd too. That's before he heard a familiar voice, Afton. His head jerked back to look at Afton, his caretaker when he was 8.

"Afton? What are you doing here.. With the little gremlin?"

"Hey! I'm not a gremlin!" She replied. The truth was, she was a gremlin. Flynn knew it sooo well, of course.

"Yes, you are!" He snickered, giving her a teasing grin

"Am not"

"Are."

"Am-"

"Flynn, I think it is more wise to not argue with the princess, dear." Afton hinted with a worried look. Flynn immediately quieted down, but still kept the annoying grin. He glanced at her, his eyes changing colour with the sunlight.

"Right." He replied. He turned his attention back to the streets, and that's when the announcement was made. Flynn, along with the rest of the crowd, froze, quieting down.

The knights marched by in front, but were soon followed by the grand chariot. It passed by sections, and sections of the street, making each person on either side bow down to it. When it passed their section, Flynn, and the crowd did so too, including Afton.

From the corner of his eye, Flynn noticed Margarett, who just stood still, admiring the chariot. He grabbed her by the nape, and pushed her head down, making her double over and bow down.

"Bow down, Idiot!" He replied, irritated.

"I don't think I have to-"

"He's the king, it doesn't matter if you're his daughter or not, we still bow down, got it?"

"Right." He heard her grumble.

"Good."

Once the chariot passed their section, he let go of her, and stood back up straight.

"That was not very smart." He crossed his arms, glaring at her.

"I think it was." The girl replied, with a proud smirk.

"Oh, aren't you just so smart?" He had a fake smile, hinted with sarcasm on his face. "You better listen, gremlin."

"Stop calling me that." she pouted.

"Er...Flynn, dear... I think it is advisable to not call the crown princess, your highness, a- what do you say? "A.. uh... gremlin.." Afton had a nervous look on his face.

"She can't do anything about it. What is she- like, 7?" Flynn sneered.

He heard the princess scoffing.

"I'm 11, thank you very much."
"That is still small, lady. You're younger to me." He sneered again. He heard her grumble, before he asked her.

"Whats your name?"

""

Flynn looked personally offended by that comment. Fish face. Fish face?! Was his beauty being compared to a fish? He glared at her, giving her the: Don't you dare say it again, look.

"I'm Flynn." He said coldly. But then grinned.

"How do you know Afton?" She asked.

"He used to look after me and my- uhm... sister, when we were younger." Flynn added, but he became a little lost while mentioning his sister.

"That's right, dear grace. The young sir was just 8 when I had left to join the royal family to take care of you." Afton added with a caring smile. "It's been ages since I have seen you, Flynn! Where have you gone?" He asked.

"Well, you see... You know how my father is a land merchant... we had to move to luminera for a trade..but," His face darkened as he continued "He joined The Archen order...He-" He sighed, and paused.

His thoughts were all around the place. After all, the boy had just returned back yesterday to his own homeland, but he wasn't going to let them know that.

There was more to the story, but Flynn wasn't ready to share it just yet, or was he..? Well, we'll keep that for later now.

He glanced at Afton, who looked shocked, his eyes wide. Looking around, Flynn's face flushed. People looked at him like a freak, when they heard the words, 'The Archen order'. No one talked about them. Absolutely no one.

"But-Sir, he- what-" Afton stuttered, struggling to find words to describe his utter shock. "Your father he- he was a good man. I don't believe it.. He couldn't possibly-"

"He did, Afton." Flynn replied, his voice hard and cold. He looked down at the ground, as his Fist clenched tightly. "He did." He finished his sentence in a low, soft voice. Extreme emotions visible all over his face. His eyes looked so filled with pain, he was clenching his fist so hard, that his knuckles turned white.

"What's the Archen Order-"

"Shh!" Flynn shushed margarett before anyone heard. "Don't talk about it, Gremlin."

"It's Margarett." She crossed her arms across her chest, raising an eyebrow, glaring at him. She was getting annoyed by him calling her a gremlin again and again.

"Er...Margarett, It's getting late. We should leave, dear. It is getting quite late, and the chariot has likely arrived at the palace by now. It should be advisable for us to leave."

She nodded. Flynn gave her a sarcastic look, as if he was pushing his pain away. "See you around, Gremlin. Don't die!" He teased her.

"It's margarett!" She said again, annoyed. Her face as red as a cherry. She looked like she'd probably punch him if he said it again.

Flynn felt amuzed. He really did not wanna be punched today, so he just laughed, and waved at her.

She gave him a warm smile. "See you around, Flynn."

And...she left.
