Chapter 12 (Echoes of Emotions)

James pov:

As Alex's invitation lingered in the air, I found myself agreeing without hesitation which surprised me but drawn to the prospect of spending more time in his company. The walk to his inn room was filled with a comfortable silence, each step bringing us closer together, both physically and emotionally.

Entering his room, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement mingled with a hint of nervousness. This was uncharted territory, a moment of vulnerability that held the promise of deeper connection.

"So, you are staying here, huh?" I remarked, trying to ease the tension that simmered beneath the surface.

Alex nodded, his gaze meeting mine with a mix of anticipation and uncertainty. "Yeah, it's not much, but it's home for now," he replied, a faint smile playing at the corners of his lips.

Taking a seat on the bed, I couldn't shake the feeling of being enveloped in Alex's presence, as if the space between us crackled with unspoken desires and uncharted possibilities.

As we settled into conversation, the atmosphere shifted, the walls of restraint crumbling away to reveal the raw emotions that lay beneath. With each word exchanged, I felt myself opening up in ways I never thought possible, sharing pieces of myself with Alex that I had long kept hidden from the world.

As I looked into Alex's eyes, I saw echoes of my own desires reflected back at me, a silent affirmation of the connection that pulsed between us. And in that moment, I knew that whatever the future held, we would face it together, united by the bond that had formed between us, I love him , he is my mate chosen by moon goddess this gorgeous man is mine and only mine.

I looked at him confirming that we were thinking the same thing, I yanked him towards myself, our faces just inches apart from each other, I was thinking of kissing him but suddenly he wrapped his arms around my neck and started to kiss me , I wrapped my arms around his waist as I let myself go and started to feel him .

I bit down on his lower lip to gain access inside his mouth which I gained successfully,our tongues meet and fight for dominance but clearly I won.

I shifted him on my lap as we continued kissing each other passionately, after a few minutes of intense and passionate kissing we both pant for oxygen.

His flushed face as he is struggling to gasp oxygen was breath taking, he was still sitting on my lap.

He looks at me as I look at him with the same fondness and loving expression .

He tried to kiss me again but I stopped him this time and asked " do you know what it means now that I have tasted you and like it god knows how much, you can never leave me and you are mine, I said in a dangerous tone with a low growl.
