After an arguably boring day, I went home, left my stuff in the house, and rushed out to the field. I had found a patch of flowers this morning and went over to it, starting to make flower crowns for Emma and Sofie. After around half an hour, I heard my mom. "Athena! Dinner is ready!". "Okay! Coming Mom!" I yelled back. I started running back towards my house. Just then, I heard Emma and Sofie shout, "WAIT!". I turned around to see them with panicked looks on their faces. "Emma? Sofie? Wha-". I didn't get a chance to finish my sentence when I heard it. A loud explosion. Coming from the direction of my house. I spun around incredibly fast, but then I froze. The place that I called home was being consumed by flames. Not the normal red, orange, and yellow ones, but rather flames of black and white. I wanted to call out to see if my parents where okay, but it was like I was paralyzed. I couldn't talk, I couldn't move, and I could barely think straight. It felt like I had been encased in a block of ice, incapable of movement, only able to sit there and watch. I heard Emma and Sofie calling out to me, but before I could snap out of it, everything went black.
