Falling feathers

Soundwave stood outside MacCadams, optics wide with grief. He didn't want to show them the second he walked into the innermost of their piss poor excuse of a base.

The Titan wasn't even theirs to control, how dare they claim a being much more worthy than them as their place they would reside. Blurr stood beside Soundwave, clutching the broken pieces of RatBat desperately.

AstroTrain and SkyLynx both stood behind them, expressions full of worry. They had fought some reawakening Quintessons, no doubt they would come back during the big battle.

SkyLynx bent down to the two small bots. "We can take you into the hangar, if you'd like."

Blurr glanced at Soundwave. Soundwave gave no response, his gaze cold and dead, optics occasionally flickered dark energon purple.

"I'll take you up on the offer." Blurr said, stroking SkyLynx's neck as he got on his back, as if trying to show he wouldn't harm him in any way.

"Tell them what happened, I will speak with Iaconus." Soundwave snarled, ducking into the bar.

AstroTrain gave him a look before hovering into the air. SkyLynx huffed his annoyance but flew up after the train.

Hotrod turned to stare at the open hangar bay doors. Preda-King stood tall by them, backing up with the incoming sound of wing beats.

His dermas pressed into a thin line, a frown. He trudged down the metal steps, his heel struts clicked against the metal on his way down. In swooped two dragons. The larger of the two was deep sage greens and white. His claws were long and curved into perfect metal crests, his horns wound up in a spiral style.

The smaller wasn't specifically a dragon, from the looks of it, they could form into two or more things. He was deep grape purple with white and blue markings.

Hotrod tilted his helm as he looked to see a light blue bot on the tallest new-coming dragon. Blurr sat proud on its back plate.

"Blurr..." Hotrod murmured, venting quietly. He waved a servo for the Velocitronian bot to venture forward.

Blurr slid off the dragons back plate and down its tail. He strode quietly forward, something clutched in his arms. Hotrod got closer as he saw the Blurr was shaking, his plates rattled and his vents seemed to heave.

"Blurr?" Hotrod grunted, running up to him. Windblade and Wheeljack followed after him.

Blurr collapsed onto the ground, servo's shaking as a small Cassettebot rolled onto the floor. The floor and Blurr now stained in purple-red Energon.

"What the frag...." Wheeljack grunted, servos covering his mouth fearfully.

RatBat lay now on the ground, in a heap of pale metals and broken bits. Blurr's digits twitched with pain, his field pulsed agonizingly in fear. Hotrod stared at the bot, optics glittering.

"Where's Soundwave? Does he know?" Hotrod grumbled, glaring across the hangar.

Blurr didn't speak immediately, to focused on the dead Cassettebot. He bit down a choked sob and looked up. "W-with Iaconus..."

"Blurr, does he know?" Hotrod asked again, putting a servo on Blurr's chassis. A soft whir came from Blurr as he looked up at him.

"He knows, he saw, he couldn't—" Blurr choked back a sob, looking back down at the corpse on the ground. His metal feathers twitched with unease. "I'm so sorry...."

Hotrod was gone though. The only remnant of him was his arm disappearing behind a door as it slipped closed.
