Chapter One

I quickly sat up in my seat. My hair was covering my face and was messy, my glasses were lean, I couldn't even see properly and my clothes were crushed. Everyone was staring at me as if I had just committed a felony.

"MISS AUGUSTIN." Someone shouted at my direction. I rolled my eyes as I realized it was the English teacher. "YOU HAVE BEEN SLEEPING IN MY CLASS SINCE IT STARTED AND YOU HAVE NO SHAME." The teacher continued.

I couldn't give craps on what she wanted to say. I was ahead of her teaching schedule by 4 sessions, so there wasn't much need to even listen to what she was saying. And despite the fact she knew this, she still kept shouting at me.

She kept cursing and cursing at me and I refuse to hear a word, until she said "I AM GIVING YOU A DEMERIT" and I nearly jumped out of my seat.

All I did was sleep through 30 minutes of her class and a demerit already?

It isn't my fault I was tired. I was up all night trying to break into the firewall on the dark web of one of the most dangerous societies to exist. I even had to steal a few papers from some of those men too, which meant I had to fight them. By the time I checked, it was morning. But I couldn't tell her THAT, because she'd never believe me.

No one really believes that young spies exist.

"Can I at least wash my face miss?" I asked her. The embarrassingly deep sleepy voice came out and not the usual one, but I didn't have the energy to care at the moment.

She at least let me, so I picked up my half-awake self and casually walked out of the class. As soon as I reached out of that environment, I ran over to another class instead of the bathroom.

When I was first sent to this school, it was to single out a underage drug dealer. Last night when I was awake, I was told by my best friend, Autumn, suspected it could be someone in grade 10, because cocaine was found on a desk in a grade 10 homeroom after school.

The homeroom belonged to 10-2, and it turned out that while I was having English in room 16 (on the second floor of the building Kian was in), class 10-2 was having math in room 4 (on the first floor in the building Kian is in).

Fortunately, I would had to go downstairs to use the bathroom. So she quickly ran downstairs to room 4 and started to spy on the class. There she found a class of 24. It seemed normal at first, but I quickly realized that at the back of the class, a brown haired girl was taking money (and a lot of money) from another student.

I estimated that the money given would be around 20k, and I stared closer. Then the girl took out in what seemed to be like legal paper. My attention would not leave the 2 girls.

After the other girl signed the paper, I realized that I may have made my presence a bit too obvious to ignore, so I carried myself to the bathroom.

When reaching in there, I quickly moved into a stall and whipped out my phone. I texted Autumn (my best friend), who hadn't come to school today, and told her about what I saw.

💖Lunatic 😍✨💖

Me: Hey, do you know any brown haired girls with weird buns and hazel eyes in 10-2?

Autumn: Nah. Why'd you ask? Is it because of what I said with the cocaine business?

Me: Yeah. I came out of class a while ago and found 10-2 doing math (they're horrible at it 🤣🤣) and I saw a girl just like how I described taking lots of money from another girl. You think it's suspicious.

Autumn: Well yeah, but it could be for anything. (Also don't judge bc you failed English last year 🤣)

Me: (That was last year 🙄😌✨) She also gave them something like a legal paper too. Couldn't see much because they were at the other end of the class, but it seemed like a contract.
