Chapter one :
Dina muttered to herself, "Oh my God, I can't trust anyone in this family. Sometimes, when they take me to the hospital, I feel like it's my last destination. I really need a bodyguard who won't fall in love with me and can protect me."
Seline boasted, "I'm so much smarter than Dina and everyone else in this family. Just give me the math problem, and I'll solve it. I'm brilliant."
Dina retorted, "You're just a school nerd. Trust me, you don't know anything about anything."
Fiona intervened, "Stop it, both of you! I can't handle your arguing anymore. I really need a vacation away from you."
Dina pleaded, "Mom, please take me with you and leave this freak here, please."
Seline scoffed, "Oh, just go. It'll be a vacation without you."Dina paced anxiously, waiting for her bodyguard to arrive, but he didn't show up. She called the agency repeatedly, but there was no answer, intensifying her worry.
Dina exclaimed, "OMG, even you guys are playing with my nerves!" Her expression betrayed her mounting concern.
Seline interjected sharply, "What's wrong with you? Are you just looking for something dramatic to do? It's not always about you, you know. There are other people here, too."
Dina fell silent, lost in thought, until a knock at the door interrupted her reverie.
Opening the door, she was greeted by a muscular figure who demanded, "Who's Dina Macmiller?"
Seline couldn't resist a jab, "Oh, did you come all the way here to impress us, hotshot?"
Dina rolled her eyes and interjected, "Please, can you shut up, Seline? Let him introduce himself."
The bodyguard, named Harriman, spoke up apologetically, "I'm Hariman, the bodyguard you asked for. I'm sorry for being late; it was just the traffic."
Dina's mouth gaped in surprise, "Oh, okay," she stammered, suddenly realizing she shouldn't be scrutinizing him like that; he was here for a job, nothing more.
"In the next morning, she wakes up at 7 am, ready to head to work, only to find him absent. Frustration prickling at her patience, she dials his number, her voice trembling with vexation as she unleashes her pent-up irritation.
'Where are you?' Her words crackled with anger. 'Is it part of your job to disappear whenever I need you? Honestly, they should consider firing you.
He remains silent, the only sound reaching her ears being the rhythm of his breath. Then, finally breaking the silence, he responds, 'Yes, ma'am. Of course, I'll be there in a minute.'When he arrives, she confronts him, her frustration palpable. 'Oh my God, you're just like my family. Should I even trust you?'
His reply is firm, reassuring. 'Sure you do. I'm here to protect you.'
Resigned but still wary, she offers a compromise. 'Okay then, go to your work or come with me to mine. It'll be better
As she walked into work, everyone stared at her because she had her own bodyguard. She heard whispers around her, which made her smile. When she ran into a girl she knew was jealous of her, she decided to confront her.
"Hey, Dina," she said, trying to keep it light. "Got something to say, or are we just whispering?"
Dina chuckled. "Oh, no, just admiring the guy who claims to be yours, your protector."
Meredith laughed, too. "You think he's mine? This is Harriman, my bodyguard."
Feeling awkward, Meredith quickly left the conversation."
interaction between Dina and Ronen:
Ronen, Dina's friend, noticed Harriman and remarked, "Who's that hot guy over there?" Dina, maintaining professionalism, replied, "He's my bodyguard," her eyes urged Ronen to stop. Ignoring the cue, Ronen continued with a playful jab, "I think he's a distraction to you, Dina. Bet you knew that." Dina, trying to redirect, asked, "Don't you have work to do?"
Dina, curious about office gossip, asked Harriman if there were any rumors. Harriman assured her, "Not yet, but I'll keep my ears open for you, madam." Lightening the mood, Dina playfully asked him to drop the "madam" and use her name. Harriman agreed, promising to remember. Curious about his opinions, Dina mentioned Meredith.Observing Dina's behavior, Harriman noted her secrecy and jokingly remarked that people might be scared of him. Dina laughed and invited him to sit, emphasizing that real life isn't like the moviesWhen Jake entered, Dina's face turned red, catching Harriman's attention. He inquired about Jake, and Dina explained he's just a colleague, leaving her feelings uncertain. Later, Dina called Ronen to her office and asked about Harriman.
Harriman asked, "Are you sure he's not a stalker I need to protect you from?" Dina replied, "No, he just has a crush on me. I'm sure he'll move on when he finds someone else," rolling her eyes. Harriman pressed, "So you do like him, don't you?" Dina hesitated, "I'm not sure. If we broke up, he might become the stalker type. I don't know." Despite her uncertainty, Harriman resolved to protect her regardless. While pondering Ronen's words, Dina exclaimed, "Oh my God, she's right about that! Even Harriman was thinking who's right!" Then Dina began, "She's right, you're distr-" but stopped midway, smiling at Harriman. Ronen noticed Dina's smile and remarked, "I told you."
