The next morning Loki remained in his room until he knew most of the team would have finished their morning routines. When he finally emerged he discovered many members had left. Natasha and Clint went to SHIELD headquarters with Fury to look into the symbol the documents they took was signed with. Tony left with Peter to some tech conference and Sam had gone to spend some off time with his sister and nephews. That left Steve and Bucky, and possibly Willow, though he wasn't sure she would stick around and wait for Natasha and Clint to finish their job.
As Loki walked into the main living space he saw Steve and Bucky standing beside the counter talking. Steve turned to Loki, "Morning. Did she say anything last night?" Loki shook his head, "She spat a few insults, but said nothing of significance." Bucky leaned against the counter, "I am not surprised. Don't expect her mood to be any better today. Fury told her she was to remain in the compound until he returns. A shame you missed that argument."
Loki retrieved a mug of coffee, one of the few indulgences of earth he actually quite enjoyed. "With Fury gone, how does he intend to enforce that?" Steve moved to sit down on a barstool, "Whatever debt he is holding over her head. She threatened to leave the moment he left and all he had to do was remind her she had a debt to pay. She shut up and stormed back upstairs. Called Bucky, myself, and you quite a few colorful names." Loki sipped his coffee, he had an idea of the debt, but wondered how deep it went.
His thoughts were interrupted by Steve, "Oh, we got word Thor will be arriving today." Loki rolled his eyes, "To ensure I am behaving, no doubt." Bucky shrugged, "Most likely. We think Fury sent for him since he was leaving for headquarters." It wasn't surprising news, but Loki worried what that meant for Willow. He couldn't even begin to guess how interactions between his brother and his mind's obsession would turn out.
Standing up and heading towards the door, Steve pat Loki's shoulder, "He will be here at lunch." Then both Steve and Bucky left, leaving Loki alone with new thoughts to plague his mind.
Lunch arrived all too quickly, Loki had scoured the area but was unable to sense Willow's energy anywhere, he wondered if she had left the compound despite orders from Fury, and quite frankly, he hoped she had. Because as he wandered through the library Friday came over the intercom system, announcing Thor's arrival.
There was an exchanging of pleasantries between Steve, Bucky, and Thor as he walked inside. "Where is Loki?" Thor asked after they had finished greeting one another. Bucky nodded towards a hall, "Probably the library. He spends most of his time there." A momentary look of concern crossed Thor's face as he asked, "He hasn't been a problem?" Steve smiled, "Not at all." A smile broke out across Thor's face, "Wonderful to hear. Perhaps he is finally turning over a new leaf."
Loki entered the kitchen seconds before the other three men did, he stopped dead in his tracks at the sight of Willow standing at the counter finishing an apple. He opened his mouth to speak when the door opened and the three men walked in. Briefly Thor's attention went to Loki, but the sight of Willow, standing in jeans, sneakers, black tanktop, and white/blue hair, immediately drew his attention.
Directing his question at Steve he asked, "And who might this be?" Willow glanced up, a bored expression on her face, as Steve answered, "This is Will'o'the'Wisp, or Willow. She has been working with us on a recent assignment." Willow rolled her eyes, as Thor smiled and stepped closer, "Well Lady Willow, I am Thor, son of Odin and God of Thunder." Willow raised a brow, "Not sure why I am supposed to care whose balls or cunt you came from or what sort of deity you are supposed to be. I have zero interest in whoever the fuck you are."
It was obvious Thor was taken a little aback by her response, Loki only cringed as he braced for what may happen next. Thor blinked a few times as Steve cleared his throat, "She is uh..." Bucky interjected, "Rude." Willow shot a glare in Bucky's direction as Steve took a heavy breath. Willow threw the apple core into the trash as she gave Thor another glare.
