As Willow sat on her knees on the roof fighting back tears of frustration, the door opened. She angrily yelled without looking up, "Why can't I get a fucking moment of goddamned silence to myself?" There was no reply, only footsteps, heavy footsteps advancing towards her. She stood and faced the new presence, Thor.

She glared at him, "What is it with you all?" Thor was now dressed in street clothes instead of the odd medieval-looking garb he had been in earlier, he spoke in a lighthearted tone. "We are the Avengers. We look out for each other. I saw your little display a moment ago." Willow crossed her arms, "I am not an Avenger. So you don't have to look out for me."

Thor ignored what she said and continued his own line of conversation, "You have had a strange impact on my brother." This sent an odd shockwave up Willow's spine as she raised a brow, "What is that supposed to mean?" Thor began slowly meandering around her towards the edge of the roof, "I overheard your interaction in the hall. I don't believe I have ever heard him speak like that to anyone."

Willow guessed what he meant, but opted to play dumb, "Not used to hearing him speak with such a pathetic tone, huh?" Thor shook his head, "I was not referring to his tone. I was referring to his words." Remaining where she stood she watched Thor stand at the edge of the roof, "His words? Really? Should I feel honored?" Sarcasm practically oozed out of her mouth, but Thor didn't seem phased, "I have always known him to be selfish. Everything he did had to benefit him in some way. He never wanted to be told what to do. Resented our father quite a bit for it. But the way he begged to hear what you wanted him to do...even if he knew he wasn't going to like what he heard, was so unlike him."

Thor turned to face Willow before he continued, "I know him well, and his request was the most genuine I have ever heard him be." Not being able to stand anymore confusing thoughts being added to the already swirling pot in her mind she groaned, but before she could reply Thor spoke again, "And yet, you gave him no command." Willow glared at Thor, "Who the hell do you think you are to psychoanalyze me?"

Thor smiled, something Willow was beginning to find irritating. "Lady Willow..." Willow interrupted him, "Don't call me that. And this conversation is over." She turned and stormed into the compound.

The rest of the day Willow was no where to be seen. As the sun began to set and Bucky, Steve, and Thor cleaned up dinner they were deep in conversation. Bucky was remarking, "I really don't think it's worth trying to get close to her. She obviously has no intentions of letting anyone close or even telling us what sort of debt it is." Thor handed Steve a plate, "She is no different than my brother. He pushed everyone away for most of his life, but in the end he truely desired the opposite."

Steve took the plate and began washing it, "You like to compare the two of them, do you really think they are that much alike?" Thor nodded as he leaned on the counter, "I have no doubt in my mind. Whatever this debt is, it is the reason behind the walls she has put up." Bucky scoffed, "Well since we may never know what that is, what's the point?"

Thor chuckled, "My brother will find out, if he has not already done so." Steve put the plate in the drying rack, "Speaking of Loki, where has he been?" Thor sighed, "He has remained in his own room. Their exchange in the hall really got to him." Bucky began drying the dishes, "You really think so?"

Thor nodded, "It is as I told Lady Willow. He has always been self serving, so to ask someone else to command him to do whatever they wish, means she has gotten into his mind." Bucky furrowed his brow, "You think she is using her manipulation abilities on him?" Thor shook his head, "No. She seemed very disturbed by the interaction, I doubt she would create that on purpose." Steve leaned against the counter, "Maybe he has feelings for her." Bucky couldn't help but laugh, "Feelings for her? Really? Are we sure he hasn't just gone insane?"
