Getting the campers back.

(Its basically how i think david got the campers back to normal after the whole daniel brainwash thingy)

David's POV: I finally got daniel out of the camp. Now, i need to help the campers. 'Who first..who first..Ah! Nikki! Of course! She should be the easiest!' I walked over to nikki and thought for a moment. I came up with an idea. I knelt down, scooped up some mud from the ground, and gently threw it at nikki, staining her now paper white clothes.

"Hey! You got my clothes dirty!" She complained. When she said the word dirt, she paused. Her pupils went back to their normal size, and she ran towards the mud. "DIIIRRRRRTTTT!!!!" She rolled around in the dirt and grass while giggling like crazy, making a cloud of dust. I waved it away, and she was back to normal. 'One down, 9 to go.' I looked around, and saw neil. I already knew what to do for neil. I walked over to him, and knelt down to his level.

"Hey neil, did you know that two plus two equals fish?" I asked. I obviously knew that two plus two wasnt fish, but i had to ask a question that made me sound like a big dummy so that neil would go on a rant about why my answer is incorrect. And thats exactly what he did. He paused, his eye twitched, and the ranting begun. "What!? No its not! Two plus two is four, david! Its really simple! Two plus two." He held up four fingers, two on each hand, and counted them.

"ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!! Its that easy! Oh, and another thing, FISH ISNT A NUMBER!!" I watched as his clothes turned back into their normal colour and his pupils went back to their correct size. "Mhm, thats right neil." I ruffled his hair and moved on to the next camper.

Oh ered. Here we go. I walked over to ered and put one of my hands on the table while pretending to check my nails on the other. "Hey ered, i heard that theres a sick party going on later." I saw ered eyes light up. "But, i dont think your cool enough to go." I watched as her face fell.

"What!? Im like, very cool! Just like, watch!" Ered ran up to her skateboard, and tried to do a kickflip. She faceplanted. I ran up to her and helped her up. I noticed her clothes were back to normal and her pupils were the right size. "That was very cool ered, i take back what i said. Sorry." Ered stood up and brushed herself off. "Its like, totally cool david. Like, dont even worry about it." Ered gave me a fistbump. I looked over, and saw preston. I walked up to him and knelt down to his level.

"Hey preston, i heard your preforming that play later." Preston looked up at me and nodded. "Well, i would love to watch you practice." Prestons face lit up as he ran to the stage. I followed behind him. He ran behind the curtain, and came back out with props. His clothes were back to normal, and he started to preform. He finished shortly after. It wasnt a long play. I clapped a little, and stood up. "That was amazing preston!" Preston bowed. "Thank you, thank you!"

Alright. 'Four down, six to go.' I walked over to harrison. I swipped his hat off his head, and tried to make a magic trick. It didnt work. "No, no. Your doing it wrong." Harrison told me. He yanked the hat out of my hands, and pulled a rabbit out of it. "Tada! Magic!" A puff of smoke blew around him, and he was back to normal just like that. I clapped a bit. "That was incredible!"

Alright. Now we move on to nerris. I ran up to them and quickly told them to roll the dice. "Nerris! Roll a perception check!" They quickly pulled out dice from their pocket and rolled it. "A twenty!" They cheered. "Sweet!" Their clothes shifted back to normal.

'Ok Dolph. Here we go.' I walked over to dolph, and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey dolph! I was wondering, do you think you could make me a painting? My office is getting a bit bare." I requested. "Does it matter what it is?" He asked. I shook my head. "Nope! Just a little something i could hang above my desk!" He nodded, and ran to his tent. He came back out with his art supplies, his clothes back to normal. I smiled. He put the canvas on an easil and started to paint. "Id love to see it once your finished." I called. "I will come and find you david! I hope you enjoy it!" I nodded. "Im sure i will!" I walked away, allowing dolph to do his thing.

I went over to space kid. I mean, he should be pretty simple. His name is space kid. I walked up to him and gently tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey space kid, do you wanna go to space?" He looked up at me. "Daniel says all bad emotions come from space." He responded. I rolled my eyes and scoffed. I looked back at him. "Oh yeah? Then how do you explain this?" I picked him up above my head, and ran around. He started to giggle. "Whooo!" He cheered. I set him down. His clothes were back to normal. I sighed with relief.

I walked up to nerf. It was only him and max now. I was saving max for last. I knew exactly how to help him. I walked up to nerf, and knelt down to his level. He had his back turned to me, as if he didnt realize i was there yet. "Hey nerf." I started. "I just wanted to let you know that im proud. Im very proud of you." He paused, stopping dead in his tracks. "..What?" He asked. "Im proud. You've grown and changed so much over the summers." He turned to me, his eyebrows furrowed. "Really?" He asked, as if checking for clairification. "Really." I confirmed. I pulled him in for a gentle hug. He returned it, then pulled back. His clothes were back to normal, and he seemed happy. "Thanks david." I nodded. "Anytime." I ruffled his hair and stood up.

I looked over at max. He had a bowl of..whatever daniel was making them mix up. I walked up to him, and sat down beside him. "Wheres daniel?" He asked, not even greeting me first. "Daniel had to leave, Max. Hes not here anymore." Max stopped mixing the strange purple liquid. He looked up at me, his neck cracking in a way that gave me goodbumps. "Daniel wouldnt just leave." I didnt know what to say to that. "I-" He cut me off. "You made him leave, didnt you?" He asked, cocking his head to the side, his neck cracking again as he did so. "N-no! He just..had things to do and-" I paused when i saw him reach behind his back. My eyes went wide as he slowly pulled out a bent and twisted knife, one similar to daniels. I slowly started to back up. "Max..put that down. Its sharp, you could hurt yourself." He didnt listen. He started walking towards me. "Max." I said more sternly. He again, didnt listen. He suddenly charged at me, swinging for my legs. I tried to move out of the way, but he got me right in the thigh. I grabbed my leg in pain, tried to stop the bleeding. He swung for me again, but i grabbed his arm and threw the knife out of his hand after disarming it. "MAX STOP!!" I screamed. I pulled him in for a hug. A tight, long hug. He froze, and i could feel his body tense up. Then, he spoke. "Get the fuck off me david." I let go immediatly. I stood up with a limp, the bleeding gash in my leg dripping with blood. It ran down my leg and to my boots. I saw max freeze. "What...what happened to your leg..?" He asked. I told him daniel stabbed me. I didnt want to make him feel worse, so i lied. He seemed to catch on, seeing the knife and the blood on his sleeve and hand from when he stabbed me. "Bullshit." He spoke harshly. "Did i do it?" He sounded like he was on the verge of tears. "No, no. Daniel did." I tried to press on with the lie, but he wasnt buying it. "Stop fucking lying to me david. I did it." I sighed in defeat, and nodded. "But it wasnt your fault! You were brainwashed, its not like you could control what you were doing." I tried to make it seem like it didnt bother me. "I dont care! Brainwashed or not, i fucking did it, so im gonna fix it! Go sit the fuck down! Ill be back in a sec. AND DONT FUCKING MOVE!!" He scolded. He ran into the counselors cabin, somewhere he knows hes not supossed to be. He came back out with a first aid kit. "Max this isnt nessecary-" "Shuddup." He interuppted. He took out bandages and wrapped up the stab wound. He put the rest of the bandages back in the kit and walked back to the counselors cabin. He came back out and sat next to me. "Im sorry." He apoligized. He leaned into me, resting his head on my arm. I wrapped my arm around him, pulling him in for a one armed hug. "Its okay buddy. Its not your fault."

"WHAT THE FUCK DAVID!?" Gwen cursed. "Im fine! Really!" I yelled back. "BULLSHIT!! YOUR BLEEDING!!" I wasnt bleeding. Well, not anymore. "Your being dramati-" She cut me off with a hug and started to cry into my shoulder. "..Gwen..?" I asked. I was a little worried, as i had never seen gwen cry before. "Im sorry..i never shouldve hired that fucking freak.." She apoligized. "What!? I know your not blaming yourself right now!" I yelled. She nodded. She pulled out of the hugg "But if i didnt hire him then this wouldnt be an issu-" I hugged her again. "Ive been through worse. Much worse. Ill survive, gwen. I will." I reassured. She just cried even harder.
