Cassandra's POV.
"You called for him yesterday."
Fred's words are plastered in my mind as I enter the hotel. I can't remember anything. How could I call his name? How could I think of him while having sex? But the most important question, why?
When I asked Fred for more details, he told me nothing; only the fact, that I moaned only his name.
Could it be the truth? But why would Fred lie?
"Oh my God!" Loud squeals break my thoughts and I look up, realizing that I've already entered my room. "Where have you been, milady?! You have a great explanation to give us!" My mother rushes to me and I see that she is not the only person in my room; dad and Jonathan are here, too.
The party. I forgot about it completely.
"Where have you been?" Giuseppe repeats the question when I don't give an answer. I remember how I thought that Giuseppe's men would have seen me with Fred and inform my parents, that's why I didn't call or text them at the first place. I wonder if they really didn't know anything, or it is just a scene.
"I was at Fred's." I answer simply.
"Fred's?" Jonathan asks and I feel something unfamiliar in my heart.
"Yeah, he's my friend."
"Since when?" He asks again.
"Since the day I came here." I reply sternly. His questions start to make me annoyed.
"Wait, Fred? He works here, doesn't he?" My father recognizes the name. I've mentioned him several times with my parents and they knew that we had something like friendship.
"Yeah." I nod. My head starts to ache again. It is both from the hangover and all the questions.
"Why were you with him?" Jonathan asks again. I can clearly read the jealousy on his face and it makes me even more mad.
"Because."
"Cass," he warns.
"I want to sleep actually, can you leave me alone?"
"Leave you alone?" It is my mother's time to get angry. "We've been worrying if you haven't noticed, young lady! Jonathan came here, looking for you! We thought that you were with him and it turns out that you are with some stranger all day! You lied to your parents, to your boyfriend and now, you don't want to tell us a thing and go to sleep?!"
"Woah, woah, woah, a boyfriend?" I can't help but laugh. "Who's my boyfriend?"
"It... it just slipped from my mouth." Felicia stutters.
"First of all, I don't have a boyfriend," I begin, anger plastered on my face. "Secondly, I am an adult, am not I? Yes, I am. What does that mean? Exactly! I can do whatever I want, whenever and with whoever I want. I repeat, I don't have a boyfriend, so I am completely free to be with another boy."
"But we are your parents!" My mother rises her voice again. "You have the responsibility to inform us where you are. We worry about you!"
"Your mother's right," Finally, Giuseppe has the nerve to say a word. "We've been worrying about you. You should have sent a text or something. We didn't know where you were, you can't even imagine the thoughts that ran through our minds."
"Well, I'm sorry, I'm just so used to your men going around with me everywhere, so I didn't thought that you needed me to inform you were I was." My tone is harsh and angry.
I notice that my words affect both of my parents. Their expressions become hard and pained and I realize that maybe, what I said was not so pleasant.
