Later that night as the moon hung in the sky and a gentle wind billowed, Aasim and Omar put out the fire everyone had sat around. Clem ended up falling asleep on my shoulder, and everyone else had the same idea to get some rest. Carefully I scooped Clem into my arms and managed to grab her crutches as I carried her off to our dorm. Louis, AJ, and I had a big day tomorrow, since we'd be going to find the caravan Aasim saw a few days prior. I sighed softly as I laid Clem down on our bed and I gently stroked some hair out of her face. AJ walked into the room shortly after with Rosie following him. He set a lit candle down on the dresser beside Clem's hat.

"I'll blow out the light in a sec," I told AJ quietly—since I didn't want to wake Clem up at all.

AJ climbed onto his bed and curled up—Rosie jumping up onto the mattress with him. "Okay," he yawned softly. "Good night, Y/N."

"Goodnight, AJ," I smiled a little and went over to the candle that AJ had brought, before I softly blew on it.

The small flame danced a bit, and flickered out from my breath that smothered it. I sighed softly as the smoke swirled upward in the light that poked through the boards on the window. I carefully crawled onto the bed beside Clementine, resting my head on my pillow as I put my arm around her and pulled myself as close to her as I could. I gently nuzzled my face into the crook of her neck before I allowed myself to fall asleep...

"Hey, sweet pea," A soft yet deep, familiar masculine voice spoke.

"Hey, Lee," Clementine smiled softly, looking up at the man.

They were seated together on the train again, their legs dangling out of the boxcar. Clem also had her teenage appearance, rather than the one she had when she was eight. Lee smiled softly as his eyes glanced over her...his eyes gleaming with nothing but pride.

"Did you get everyone home safe?" Lee asked her, referencing the last conversation they had.

"Yes...I can't say that we're all in one piece, though," Clem replied and shook her head gently.

"Oh?" Lee's brow furrowed in confusion.

"Y/N...she let a woman chop her pinky off when I was going to let AJ attack the woman," Clem explained, before she looked down at her leg. Even in this dream state, she had a nub. "And...I got bit...but AJ cut my leg off before..."

Lee nodded slightly, understanding what she meant. "You managed to keep kickin'," he smiled a bit. "I told you. You're a survivor."

"I know, Lee...I know..." Clem said softly as a gentle smile spread across her lips.

"So...you've mentioned the others a few times, but who's this Y/N?" Lee asked, gently nudging Clem's shoulder. "They sound special."

Clem blushed a bit and tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear, "Well...she is special," she looked up at him. "Y/N's my girlfriend...and I know you'd like her."

Lee's eyes widened in slight surprise, "Oh...really?"

"Yeah...she's funny, caring..." Clem listed with a sigh. "She's taken bullets for AJ. Literally."

"Damn," Lee scoffed, a little impressed. "You're right. I like the sound of her already."

"She's just so wonderful, and AJ adores her," Clem continued. "She takes good care of us, Lee. She barely thinks of herself...I have to remind her to do that sometimes."

Lee chuckled a little bit, "Tell her I say hi, would you?"

"I..." Clem trailed off, looking out from the open boxcar door at the trees and greenery that flew by in a blur. "I will."
