CHAPTER THREE
( It's Only A Game )

‎THE TEAMS ARE separated as such : Daiyu on and Seyeon one side, the former's eyes trained on the opposite goalpost. On the other end of the field stands Suho and Seojun.

It isn't fair, for the two of them to partner up while she's stuck with her half-brother, who's terrified of getting hit and ducks if the ball so much as lands near him. Still, Seyeon is fast — And Daiyu knows how to utilize his strengths to make up for his weakness.

"Seyeon, start us off!" Suho calls from the goalpost. His role is to play goalie, as is Seyeon's.

The boy in question shoots his hand up the the air, fist upturned to show a thumbs up to those across the field.

Perhaps they are the only two who are playing the game for the sake of having fun — Daiyu and Seojun glare at each other from across the field, and it is a provocation, taunting the other to loose their cool.

Daiyu knows she is pride personified. At the very least, back home she had people to hold her back, people who could pacify her ardent rage and tell her there was no need to always be right. But here — Here is different.

The world opens its fathomless arms and swallows her, bathing her anew and blessing Daiyu with everything she could dream of — And it is simply the thought of having what she has never had the privilege to that drives a burning force into the pit of her stomach.

A high pitched whistle pierces the air — Seyeon's signal. Daiyu and Seojun charge, reminiscent of bulls to a matador's red flag, horns pointed and eyes narrowed on the other.

( The game is not too serious as to be acting like this, but Daiyu is competitive in a way that makes her heart pump ).

It is Seojun who reaches the ball first, passing it between his feet towards Seyeon. Daiyu is quick to block his path, kicking between his legs and kicking the ball in the opposite direction.

Daiyu grins as the concentration on the sharp eyed boy's face morphs into anger. To further taunt him, she kicks the ball upwards, bouncing it between her knee and her foot before booting to the goalpost Suho is diligently guarding.

Just as Seojun makes for the ball, Daiyu turns her back to block his sight and kicks the ball right for the net. The movement is too quick for Suho to process — The ball goes in, and Daiyu cheers.

Seyeon's faint cheers echo through the field before they turn into a surprised shriek. Suho had thrown the ball across the field and Seojun manages to score a goal while Daiyu was distracted.
