Shiva smiled after so long.
Finally, he was going to be one with his shakti, his dear Parvati.
He looked at everything that was being prepared in his Kailash to welcome Shivapriya back home.
Nandi, his vahana, was running everywhere at once, instructing the other ganas to prepare all sorts of things—chandan, food, their mata's room, everything.
His sakha, Narayana, sat beside him, a sweet yet mischievous smile on his face.
His sister-in-law, Lakshmi, was doing the preparation for the grihapravesh of Haimavati, along with his anuja Saraswati.
Lost in thoughts of Gauri, it seems." Vishnu whispered and winked at a now blushing Mahadev.
"Off." Sakha, I was just looking at everything you people were doing to welcome her." Bholenath's innocent words made the Leeladhar burst into fits of laughter, as the ever-calm Brahma observed all these as he sat next to a pouting Mahadev.

"And, it's done." Exclaimed Chanchala as she walked over to a still laughing Hari and a pouting Shankara.
"Oh, oh. Now, stop teasing him, will you?" She defended as Vishnu winked at her.

"Sakhiii." Gauri's maids called her for the nth time now.
Parvati looked up startled.
"Oh, what did you do, she was so busy thinking about her to be husband. You literally shattered her all over again." One of the maids commented.
Parvati turned a bright red as her friends giggled.
"Stop it, you two. There's nothing like that." She tried defending herself but turned redder as soon as a maid shoved a portrait of her Shankara right in front of her.
"Hey, look at her. How cute is she while she blushes?" Another of her friends commented, only to receive a death glare from Uma.

Himavan and Menavati had tears of joy in their eyes.
Their daughter, their daughter was finally united with her love.
How fortunate were they to get Adishakti herself as their daughter.
How fortunate were they to have the lord of the universe as their son-in-law.
They smiled through their tears as Parvati hugged them and smiled at them.
"Maa." She whined as Menavati ruffled her hair.
Mahadev came with a wide smile on his face and touched Himavan's feet, and the latter was shook out of his reverie.
"No." He started but was cut off by a smiling Mahadev.
"Pitashri," he called. "You are my Gauri's father and are my father-in-law. It is my honor to be taking your blessings. Please, don't stop me."
Himavan couldn't help but place a hand on the head of the Gangapati as he revered the humble lord all over again.
"Will you forget us after you go back to Kailash, Putri?" Menavati asked, trying to joke but failed miserably as she broke down into silent tears again.
"Ma, what are you saying? How can a daughter forget her parents wherever they are? Don't say thus, ma." Parvati cried as she hugged her mother.
They all walked to the entrance of Himavan's palace.
After hugging her mother and father for one last time, she was off with Mahadev and the ganas, back to Kailash.
Parvati was astonished as she stepped her lotus feet in Kailash.
