On the plane after getting a W against their rivals the Browns, Joe's mind was focused as he looked down at his ipad doing some duolingo spanish lessons.
He didn't really showcase that he was learning it. He even turned off the settings so he didn't have to do the talking exercise because he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of his friends.
"Bro your such a fucking nerd. Since when did you get duolingo?" Jamar leans forward since he is seated behind Joe. He stares at what Joe is doing on his ipad.
"Bro stop being so fucking nosy and back up dude." Joe gently pushes Jamar back as he turns off his ipad.
"Is that the one bird app?" Tee says as he sits across from them butting in on their conversation.
"Yeah." Joe groans as his friends are now all up on his business.
"What language are you learning?" Andrei asks as he turns his head from the front wanting to be in on the conversation.
"Spanish." Joe says a bit embarrassed he didn't know why he was.
"I can teach you some spanish." Jamar grins.
Joe head turns up eager to see what Jamar was going to say.
"Just add o to the end of each word. El plane-o, el seat-o." Jamar has his classic joking smirk.
Joe shakes his head. "You're such a dumbass bro" Joe sighs, expecting it to be useful.
"Why are you learning spanish? For fun?" Andrei asks, wondering why.
"It's for a girl huh?" Jamar smirks as he gives Joe a friendly pat on the shoulder.
"Yeah for a girl." Joe blushes as he reveals why.
"Have we met her?" Tee asks as he leans closer wanting to hear all about it.
"No, she's new to the city. I actually bump into her cause she was lost." Joe smiles as he remembers that day which was already a month ago.
"Anyways I got her number and we text a lot. She's really hot." Joe beams as he talks about you.
"She doesn't speak much English which is why I'm trying to learn some spanish." Joe explains as he looks down at his ipad.
"Bro, wait, she doesn't speak English at all?" Andrei asks as he looks at Joe.
"No, she only knows a few words such as hi or bye." Joe says as he smiles.
"How do you guys even understand each other?" Tee asks.
"Bro sex is a universal language; they don't have to speak the same language." Jamar says to them with a grin.
Joe rolls his eyes at all his friends' comments. "We talk through google translate." Joe says a bit embarrassed about the fact.
"Bro what the fuck." Tee laughs as he imagines how hard it must be to pass the phone back and forth and have to talk to each other like that.
"That's not even fool proof. I bet a lot of things get mixed up in the translations." Andrei says.
"Which is why I'm trying to learn spanish." Joe says with a small smile as he turns on his ipad. "Now can you all shut up and let me focus." Joe says with a playful smile.
"All right all right." They all lean back into their seats with a smirk on their faces as they distract themselves on their phones.
Joe goes back to focusing on his duolingo lesson trying his best to learn the basic spanish phrases.
