You hauled your suitcase into the back of the taxi your Aunt was waiting in, you slumped into the backseat and put on your seatbelt, your Aunt was on the other side of the taxi closer to the drivers side. The taxi slowly moved making it's way out of the Manhattan Airport. You stared out the window taking in every detail of your new surroundings. Your Aunt smiled at your observances of your surroundings as the taxi edged closer to it's destination. The sun blinds your vision as the taxi goes to a halt.
"Come on Y/N, we're here" Your Aunt said in a soft tone.
You both stepped out of the taxi, you grabbed you suitcase and rolled it onto the pathway as you Aunt led you into the apartment complex, you both climbed the what seemed like an endless flight of stairs. Soon but surely you had reached to your Aunts apartment. You entered taking a good look of the interior. You started exploring the small but luxurious place leaving your new room last. It was a very simple apartment, nothing very interesting, nothing piqued your interest as of much. Your Aunt spoke after allowing a few minutes for you to observe your new surroundings. You looked through out the house, Looking in every room, and examine the contents inside of the rooms. You noticed how your Aunt had lots of special foods and drinks for special occasions, but they all remained untouched and sealed. The living room was very dusty, as if it wasn't touched in ages, let alone cleaned. You also noticed the lack of supplies, you knew how your Aunt struggled to earn money, even for just herself. You couldn't help but feel some concern knowing that if you were now living with her that it would be more challenging to buy enough things for 2 people. You were snapped out of your thoughts when your Aunt spoke up.
"Come on Y/N, it's time for you to see your new room."
You face lit up at the idea and your Aunt led you to last room in the hallway, you turned the smooth doorknob and stepped inside the room. It wasn't that big but it wasn't that small either, on the left side there was your bed and on the right was your desk and closet. There was also a bathroom that connected to your room.
You flopped onto bed, taking in the comfort it provided you causing you to doze of immediately. Your Aunt let out a small chuckle before going to the living room to enroll you into a nearby high school. Everything was going perfectly fine.....
