ravka, os alta
- AFTER A DAY MORE OF BEING IN THE CARRIAGE, NYRA GLANCED OUT THE WINDOW AGAIN TO SEE THE CARRIAGE PULLING UP TO THE GATES OF OS ALTA. About four servants came running out of the palace grounds to collect the princess' and her consul's things.
She stepped out, stretching slightly, her consul behind her and the two guards following. Nyra's dragon, Valkor, followed suit, but as soon as his claws touched the dirt and he sleepily realized he was finally outside, his energy seemed to be restored immediately and he took off, flapping his wings.
As he flew away, as per his enchantment, he grew bigger and bigger until he was about the size of the Grand Palace. He flew and flew and flew until he was just a speck in the air. Nyra wasn't worried, he normally did this and would return on his own agenda, whether that was five hours or a day and a half, either way, Nyra wasn't too concerned, dragons could protect themselves very well.
As the sun began to set again, the servants showed Nyra and Reyna to their rooms. The Grand Palace was smaller than hers in the North but it was much more majestic and decorated with gold. Lots and lots of gold.
Nyra hated how much detail they had put into the building and it was still ugly. Suddenly, she remembered what The Darkling had said in the book. I think the Grand Palace is the ugliest building I've ever seen. She sighed as she entered her room.
A large bed was at the far end of the space, a doorway only a short ways beside it with a bathroom on the other side. Vanity desks lined the left wall, a table in the middle and three different closets pushed against the right wall. Two servants placed her bags on the bed, unpacking everything for her and placing the luggage into drawers and the closets.
She walked towards the bed. "I can do it myself, thank you,"
"But, Your Highness- My Lady-" ever since she had arrived at Os Alta many people had been struggling with what to call her. It was either My Lady or Your Highness.
"I am perfectly capable. Thank. You." she spoke with her tone getting slightly irritated. The maids bowed before heading towards the door.
"Of course, Your Highness-" one of the maids said. The other scrunched up her face slightly in disgust, but the look was gone as quickly as it had come. They opened the doors and stepped out leaving her alone, finally.

The sun had finally set and all of Nyra's luggage was out of her bags and sorted into drawers and closets. She now sat on the bed, her back leaned against the pillows. She rotated her hands slightly, playing with the stars that appeared there. Ever since she was ten, everyone in the world had known about the new-found Star Summoner. Her title in most other countries was The Starbird or The Dragon Queen of the North. The titles used to bother her, but as she had gotten older, she had learned to ignore them, instead of ignoring the people themselves.
She moved the stars around, forming them into shapes and moving them back and forth. Tomorrow she would meet with the king and try to get into the Little Palace to meet the Black General. But for now, she was going to sleep or at least try to.

The same dream. Always the same dream. Nyra walked through a forest, she stopped at the base of a tree, there was a ladder but she always got up to the treehouse balcony without having any memory of climbing that ladder.
Seconds later, her thoughts were confirmed. She appeared on the balcony, surveying the ground below, the sky above and the treetops blocking her sight of the world beyond for miles. Like every other night, a woman came into view out of the corner of Nyra's eye. Persephone.
