This story begins with a flashback from 5 years ago, a man was being experimented on by an evil organization known as SHOCKER until he manage to escape their base and fell into the water. 5 years later, a motorcyclist named Zane Kenner was daydreaming when one of his friends call him.
Man: Yo, Kenner. Daydreaming again?
Zane: Oh! No, I'm just...thinking about something.
Man: Well then, let's ride. Your motorcycle can't ride itself to the finish line.
Zane Hehe~ Yeah, I'm down.
So now Zane puts on his helmet back on and began to ride with his friends. A few hours later, Zane return home on his motorcycle as sees his parents having dinner.
Zane's mom: Oh! Hi there, Zane. How was the race track?
Zane: It was okay, but very tiresome.
Zane's dad: Then, do you wanna come eat with us?
Zane: No thanks, I've already ate.
Zane's thoughts: My name is Zane Kenner, I'm a 21-year old motorcyclist who loves to race. To be honest, I don't really know about myself. I was raised by the Kenner family who find me drifting on the beach and took me in as their adopted son, they have been the nicest people to me and taught me a lot of things, but I feel like there's something missing in my life.
As Zane is thinking to himself, his 5-year old sister, Mary Kenner, approached Zane with a happy expression of her face as he hugs him.
Mary: ZANE!!! You're home!
Zane: Hehe~ Hey there, sport.
Mary: Do you wanna play dollies with me? You promise you'll play with me after you came back from hanging out with your friends.
Zane pats Mary's head as he gives her a gentle smile on her face.
Zane: I will, but I'm so tired from racing all day. But I promise, once I'm fully awake, we'll play together.
Mary: Promise?
Zane: Promise.
Zane gives Mary a pinky promise as he walks to his room. As Zane laying down on his bed, he continues to think to himself.
Zane's thoughts: I'm really lucky that I have a little sister to make me smile, but I can't shake the feeling that something is missing. I mean, I did manage to graduation High School, I did learn how to ride a motorcycle from my adopted dad and use it to my advantage to earn some money, but is it really all that I do for a living? Maybe I'm just overthinking, but...
As Zane is looking up at the celling, thinking to himself, someone knocks on his door repeatedly until he decided to get up.
Zane: Alright, alright! I'm coming, damn it!
Zane open the door as he realized that it was his childhood friend, Lara Garfield, reporter and photographer of the Daily Bird.
Zane: Lara? What are you---
But before Zane can finish his sentence, Lara storms into Zane's room and show him an article about the mysterious hero known as the Masked Rider.
