The next day with a not so much of shouting from his father and stubborn apologies from his part, First was standing by the road, across the street of the big house as he watched a man load suitcases in the car parked right outside the huge gate. He has no idea what he was doing here but seeing the boy yesterday had left him restless and his body had subconsciously led him to where he was standing right now.

Merely 10 minutes of being here, his eyes caught on to the family of three walking outside. The older man had his hands around the boy's shoulder and the woman was holding his hand as she not so discreetly tried to wipe on her eyes, they stood by the car and as the younger boy leaned in to hug his father and his eyes wandered until the stormy grey met the brown of his own. Their eyes did not seem to leave eachother until the boy was inside and the engine started. First wanted to run after the car, to ask if the boy would return but all he could do was watch.

There was a subtle ache in his heart as he watches the car go but then he sees something, from the window in backseat of the said vehicle a hand waved and something fluttered against the gravel path.

First just stood rooted to the ground long until the car disappeared down the town leaving behind the flying specks of dust lying on the road before him.

And then, the years pass by the same for him, sitting down for his missed interview again this time the absence of those silver eyes making him miss something he never experienced and dropping out of school to be scouted by the military trainers. Missing his home as he packs up his teenage in a tin suitcase and shares farewell with his family with a white handkerchief wrapped around his wrist and a silver chain with a jade pendant hidden beneath his layers of shirt.

24 year old First Kanaphan was now a lean young man, dressed in his uniform, a captain badge glistening light in the morning sun as he follows a meeting with his subordinates about the new requites when he hears a commotion happening in the other side of the camp.

He salutes his comrades and with a little furrow to his eyebrow makes his way towards the cause. The scene that greets him is of a man, adorning a blue button down shirt, brown corduroy slacks and a suspender, hair in disarray, his back was towards him and he seemed to be arguing? with the guards near the entrance.

"Why do you think I would come here in the middle of nowhere, if it wasn't for my work?" the man sounded exasperated, the guard seemed rather apologetic as he said, "Sir if you don't have the official papers we can't let you in". The man sighed as he dropped his head to his hands and rubbed his face in frustration, He doesn't know why but First had an inkling feeling the man was about to cry so he decided to step in.

"Is there a problem here?'' With his voice and presence known the guard stepped up straight and saluted him, he nodded back in greeting, "The gentleman here claims to be the new doctor sent for the camp but he doesn't seem to have his official appointment letter with him, I was trying to explain how without the papers we can't let him in" as the boy explained the situation his eyes followed the said man and then under the evening sun, the silver glistened as it met the coffee brown.

First feels the breath knocked out of his chest, it's the same grey stormy eyes which has had him entranced since the first time they met 11 years ago, the same eyes that peeked up to him through the big glasses. He takes in the face of the man. The slim sharp jawline, a smooth curve of nose, a bit of dark shadows below the enchanting orbs, blanketed by black lashes, a small pretty mole below the oh so soft lips which had his mind going to all those places about how those lips would feel against his own. He shakes his head as he tries to stomp those thoughts away because they are wrong, this is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting even thinking this way about another man. He will punish himself afterwards, he will run 100 laps around the camp and recount what his father has said, he won't be a disappointment.

First belatedly realises that he has been staring at the man because the man is talking again and he has no idea about what,

"I'm sorry, come again?"

The man stares at him for a moment before going off about his said grievances, "I told you I am the doctor sent here in place of doctor Mark because he had to stay back in the main hospital and while on the way I had lunch in the train station and it seems like in a hurry I left my handbag there which had my official papers, and it's evening now and the sun is setting soon and now if I go back I won't be able to get back until like midnight and then you don't think it will be appropriate to send someone as goodlooking as me back now, will it? what if something bad happens and i die or something and then your department will have to take responsibility of my death and then I have my family out there and-

"KHAO" The man takes a deep erratic breathe as he gets interrupted in his monologue and they both turn around to see Lieutenant Pirapat Watthanasetsiri approaching with his usual principle scowl. When the man reaches them he salutes First and turns around to face the other man who to the sight of the scowling man is smiling with a hint of relief now, "Ahh P'Earth, you are here too. Help me get in will you" the man whined, like actually whined and started recounting his unfortunate incidence again. Pirapat Watthanasetsiri frowned and First sighed inwardly because no one could call the grumpy man this intimately and get away with it , so knew the man would start screaming at the stranger any second now and he could already feel a headache brewing in the back of his head somewhere thinking about dissolving another fight involving the Lieutenant, but the said man turned around and with a calm voice stated, " Captain, We cannot send him back right now it could be dangerous, I will take him to the town tomorrow early morning and retrieve the official papers".

First blinked at him, Earth blinked back and now both the men were staring at him, waiting for his response. He thought it wouldn't be so bad to let the man stay and as Lieut stated it was dangerous, because their camp resided in the mountains, literally in the middle of nowhere with just them and the villagers living by the border village.

"You may stay the night here" He offered to the man and watched in near awe as man's face broke out in the most blinding smile he had ever seen in a human.

"You can tell the juniors to prepare the guest quarters" He directed this to Lieutenant Pirapat before he saluted and made his exit towards his office.

"WAIT..., Captain" He halted in his steps as a mop of black hair moved infront of him and again the silver eyes were boring into his own.

"Thank you, This one is doctor Thanawat Rattanakitpaisan, Khaotung " the man bowed a little and stood up straight smiling at him.

"Captain Kanaphan Puitrakul, First " he bowed back.

"Ah, Nice to meet you First " He took a sharp inhale at the informal address because no one in his life had ever referred to him so intimately. He weighed his thoughts and solemnly replied, "You too, Khaotung".

The man beamed up at him, and First had to excuse himself before he said something horrendous like "You have a nice smile", which is stupid because he is a man and men are strong and sturdy not pretty and beautiful.

He was so so doomed.
