Uzi trudged through the snow outside the Corpse Spire that was the Murder Drone lair with a few weapons threatened towards her by a not-so-happy J.

"Is it here?" she asked impatiently.

"Just a little longer, I swear," Uzi replied, nervousness creeping into her tone.

V hovered down from where she had been flying to look ahead. "You've said that quite a few times now," she teased, "I'm almost starting to wonder if you're just making things up." She laughed and flew ahead again.

Uzi grumbled and stopped walking. She glanced around a bit before turning to J, "It should be around here."

J raised a skeptical eyebrow, "Should be?" "IS! It is around here somewhere," Uzi corrected herself quickly. She laughed awkwardly and started looking around the area they were in.

She had no idea where they were and doubted that she had run this far when she dropped her railgun, but that didn't matter. At this point the railgun was as good as gone, Uzi had made her peace with it. What mattered now was getting out of here alive.

At least, that's what she was thinking to herself until she spotted a green glow from under the snow. She told herself not to get her hopes up as she uncovered it, but low and behold, there was the railgun.

Uzi held her breath, now wasn't the time for an evil laugh but it definitely felt like it should be.

She lifted the railgun off the ground and dusted off some snow. Uzi heard J yell from not too far away, "Where is this damn thing!?"

Uzi smirked and stood up, railgun in hand. "Oh don't worry J," she called back as she turned to look at J. She aimed the gun, and just as J turned around to look, Uzi said, "It's right here." And fired.

Right at that moment though, V came down from above, which caused Uzi to lose her footing, and instead of the beam hitting J, it went into the air like a giant flare signal.

V kicked the railgun from Uzi's hand and it landed on the ground several feet away.

Uzi rolled onto the ground into a standing position, ready to try and fight back. However, V was fast and was already coming at her with sword hands, her eyes now the evil glowing X Uzi had seen on V and N's faces respectively.

V slashed at Uzi wildy and Uzi managed to just barely dodge most of the hits. One of V's swords landed a hit on Uzi's shoulder though and nearly took her arm off.

She fell to the ground and crawled under V's legs, but it didn't matter. The tip of a sword stuck itself into the ground right next to Uzi's face, and she looked up to see V standing above her.

"Any last words?" V sneered as she charged a canon that she had switched her right hand to. Uzi gritted her teeth.

"Bite me."

As if on cue, N suddenly appeared and tackled V off of Uzi, much to everyone's confusion.

"N! What the hell is wrong with you!? Are you short-circuiting or something!?!" V shouted as she kicked N off of her. "I DON'T KNOW!?" N panickingly responded.

By now J had made her way over and was standing over Uzi. She stomped a foot into Uzi's torso and scowled at N. "You little piece of scrap..."

N was clearly panicking by now, he obviously just did something incredibly stupid. If he was lucky, maybe J and V would make his death a quick one. Uzi was practically lagging with confusion. "What the hell is going on right now!?" she exclaimed.

V, who had now turned her anger on N, growled as she pointed her tail towards N. "That's what I wanna know. What the hell were you thinking!? It's a Worker, we kill them all the time and I'm starving."

"Normally I'd be glad someone saved my life but this feels like it was a really stupid moment to do so, and you're probably gonna die now too," Uzi groaned. N dropped his shoulders, feeling rather dumb.

There was an awkward silence for a moment before J growled and held the end of her tail to the back of Uzi's head. "I'm finishing this," she sneered.

She lifted her tail to plunge it into Uzi's head, and Uzi waited for the impact, but N, for some reason, quickly blurted out "WAITWHATIFWEKEEPHER!?"

They all paused and stared at N for a while, and he instantly regretted saying that.

However, before he could take back his words, J agreed. "WHAT!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN FINE?" V couldn't help protesting. J shrugged. "I could use a pet," she bluntly explained.

Uzi blinked. "I'm sorry, are my audio processors buffering? A PET!?" J rolled her eyes, "You should just be glad we're not killing you Shortstack."

"I almost wish you would," Uzi muttered under her breath. N laughed nervously. He wasn't expecting J to be on board, let alone that quickly, but for some reason, he felt bad about killing Uzi and he couldn't keep his big mouth shut.

V seemed like she was eager to protest again, but for some reason kept quiet.

Uzi, on the other hand, did not. "I'm not a pet! That's worse than N assuming I was one of you things!" she hissed.

There was quiet for a moment before J shrugged, picked Uzi up by the waist, and held her under one of her arms. "Doesn't matter."

J turned her attention to N, "Bring the gun, we won't destroy it after all."

N raised an eyebrow but picked it up anyway. "Uh, why not?" V questioned. "I don't want a useless pet, this thing needs to be able to defend itself," J responded.

It didn't seem like she would take any more questions about it so N and V just looked at each other and shrugged before following J back to the ship.

Uzi was not happy about this new predicament, but it's not like she could leave now.

Even if she still had the card to get back into the colony, would they even want her back?

Uzi froze as she realized. She still had the door card to the colony.

Something told her that if N, J, or especially V, found out it would not end well.

Once more, Uzi found herself tied up on the floor of the ship, although this time they tied her to one of the chairs.

"This is so stupid," she grumbled. V groaned in agreement, and Uzi couldn't help but find it funny the one thing her and V had common ground on so far was being annoyed she hadn't just been killed.

Luckily for Uzi though, V had calmed down after J practically forced her to go hunt so she would stop trying to eat Uzi. N had apologized for saving Uzi, to which she just stared at him confused, and then he apologized for apologizing, realized what he just did, and then left.

For a place inside of a pile of corpses, the Murder Drone base seemed pretty lively due to N, V, and J. The fact that Uzi almost felt less out of place with three murderous crazies than in the colony creeped her out a little, but it was almost...nice?

Uzi had lost track of time by now, but she had been picking at the wire tying her up and managed to wriggle out of it when no one else was in the ship.

She quietly snuck out of the lair and took a deep breath. She realized the sun was coming up and stood there for a moment to watch it.

It'd been a while since she saw a sunrise...Maybe being outside of the doors was better than she thought. Once the sun was a little higher, Uzi turned back around and headed back to the lair, where she found J waiting for her at the entrance.

"Hm, bold move," J remarked. Uzi shrugged. "It's not like I can just leave, you three would probably find me anyway."

J laughed a little, "You learn quick Shortstack. Come on, back inside."

The two walked silently back to the ship, and Uzi retied herself to the chair once she was inside. This time, J stayed in the ship as well.

Oddly enough, Uzi found herself able to fall asleep pretty easily.
