Chapter 15: Notes from the Underground: Part 2

Y/N's POV...

The creature walk closer to us, "Uh, I think I speak for all of us when I say, "Zoinks!" Mikey says and we all walk back into the genetics lab with the monsters following after us, the turtles throw their bags away and so do I, the blue one sprays some green acid it misses but it creates a huge hole in the floor, the guys takes out their weapons, "That's it." Raph says, "Okay, you guys take the three on the left." "There are only three." Raph said back to Mikey, "There's one for each of you and I'll just be the odd-turtle-out with N/N." Mikey grabs my arm, "You're telling me." Raph says as the red monster throws a desk at us, we get out the way quick.

Raph, Leo and Donnie start fighting the monsters, "Man, I really need my own weapon." I say to myself, "You sure, you can handle one?" Mikey says to me, "I'm pretty sure I can handle it." I say and I run up to grab a pipe and walk over to Leo with Mikey following me, I was about to hit the blue monster when I saw a shadow and looked up..it was that gray monster and Raph kicked it, "Woah." I say and Raph land near me, "Watch your back, you odd-ball." He says, "You just called me odd, didn't you?" I say to Raph, "I'm not odd, I'm eccentric. Different maybe. But not odd." Donnie falls near my feet and I help him up, "Donnieeeeee, Raph thinks I'm odd." Donnie puts a hand on my shoulder, "Don't worry, N/N. You're probably being sensitive." Donnie runs to fight the monster and I glare at him, "Sensitive? If there's one thing I hate, it's when people call me "sensitive" I'm 16 for crying out loud!"

I run up with Mikey and help him fight the gray monster before Raph got on his back and starts distracting him, before the gray monster threw him at us, "Hey, I know these monsters are vicious abominations but, guys, we are not holding our own out there. Now let's dig deep!" Mikey throws rocks away with his nunchucks, Raph runs and fight and I twirl the pipe around getting away from the rocks, I see Leo get thrown by the red monster and I run up to catch him but Mikey got there fist and we all crashed into each other, "You know something, Mikey, N/N, they're thinking we're somebody else." Wait really!?

"Oh man, that's just great! We're getting our shells shellacked and it's somebody else's fight?" "Oh goodie! Just what I wanted to hear." I sarcastically say, Donnie and Raph join us as we stand up, "Then I vote we get the shell out of here." Donnie said, "Run away? That ain't my style." "Call it a tactical retreat. Let's move!" Leo said, "We're leaving." Donnie presses a button and the sorts open we head out the door and start running, "Tactical retreat? I can live with that." I hear Raph say and we keep running into another room and Donnie tries to open a door, "It's sealed tight." He says and the monsters start running towards us, we ran to the door and shut it before the monsters came, but there were dents on the wall as they kept pounding, "Somebody gonna answer that?" Mikey said as the red monster broke down the door and the gray monster kept making holes on the ground, we walk back a little and the red monster was about to attack us if it weren't for the blue monster.

"No!" It walks up to us and drools acid, "Say the word, bro!" I grip my pipe tighter, "Easy guys, it's okay." The blue one sniffs Leo, "Who are you?" It asked us, "Not who you think we are." "Then why do you carry those?" The blue one points to me and Donnie's duffel bag as my crystal glows a little bit, "Whoa, wait a minute! We found these crystals in a cavern where we're staying, that's all." Leo explains, "Yeah, and just what business is it of yours, anyway?" Raph asked it, "Those crystals are the embodiment of evil. Why have you come here?" How are these crystals evil? That makes no sense? "'Cause one of you ogres went sniffing around our place, looking for trouble. So we're here to—"

Donnie covers his mouth, "To just look for some answers, that's all." I nod with him, "I'm Leonardo and these are my brothers, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo. And this young lady is Y/N, our friend." I smile and wave at the monsters, it's good to have manners even if they tried to kill you, "We were drawn to your habitat when your crystals were activated." That was all Mikey, "Gee, wonder who could've done that?" Mikey shrugs, "Their energy is a sign of danger to us, so we considered you dangerous. Though we usually sense them coming from deeper below." "Below? You mean there are more of these crystals down there?" Donnie pats his bag, "We'd just like to find out where they came from, that's all. And, maybe..." Donnie walks closer as the blue monster glares at him.
